Happy New Years everyone! Well this is the second year in a row this group of guys had the December tag. The hunt was tougher than last year. Due to work schedules and other obligations we didn't get to hunt as a group like we did last year. One of the best group of guys to be around. We were all fortunate to tag out. Special thanks to reggie, Andrew, and champ. Thanks for looking.

After calling for 15 minutes I seen a coyote coming in but he disappeared behind some brush 150 yards away. So I waited it out for another 15 minutes to see if he would pop out. Well I figured he had taken off. I get up and walk to get my caller 60 yards below me. I walk back and pick up the rifle to leave. I walk off 10 yards and just decide to look back. At 350 yds away I see something standing there looking at me. I get down and look thru my Scope. It was a coyote just lookin at me between some brush. I chamber a bullet and drop him. Well let's just say I got a freebee... I luv these hornady vmax 55 grain bullets.

While surfing the internet and looking for quality arrows for a decent price i ran into these. Found the information on Archerytalk. DEER CROSSING ARCHERY. Cut arrows for 55 bucks. Read some of the reviews on AT and this company seems legit. I purchased velocity gold tip arrows 2 weeks before i found this company or i would have purchased from them. Anyone have any input on these arrows???

Took the girlfriend for a quick outting Friday. After a one minute stand we had a yote running hard towards the caller. Once he got with in 100 yards he got nervous and started trotting off. At around 250 yds I decided to take a running shot. Gut shot him and he dropped. Dang coyote hunting is getting more and more addicting

Well i am not good at all at writing stories... so ill keep it short and sweet. After a 2 hr hike in, Andrew shot his buck at 270 yards with a 22-250 and dropped him. The packout was the worst ever. We decided to drop off the mountain and hit the flats and walk around. I will never do that again in this area. After 3.5 hrs of packing out we were exhausted. Well after seeing so many deer on andrews hike in, we decided to head back . Champ had never hunted deer before and it was his last day to hunt due to work. He wasnt being as picky as the rest of us. After several discussions about if we should let champ shoot at a 2 point....we moved over to a new glassing point. After an hour of glassing reggie saw this buck stand up. Reggie and champ then decided to bail off the mountain side that we were on and climb to the other side of the moutain. The plan worked out perfect. Champ dropped him with a 300 yard shot. This time we decided to stay on the hill and not drop into the flats. This pack out took only 2 hrs. Well with 2 tags left, we decided to head into another area and make it somewhat of an easy day. After a 15 minute hike in we started seeing deer and then started seeing antlers. Reggie decided that after rolling his ankle two times and being sick the whole hunt he was gonna shoot this 3x3. After hiking up to the downed deer they called me on the phone and told that there was a nice 3x3 chasing a doe below them. Me and my buddy could not find the deer they were talking about. Reggie and the guys hiked back to the truck and dropped off the buck. When they got back they started glassing in the same area they were in and found the 3x3. Well after too many shots the buck was down. I guess buck fever got to me real bad. After gutting the deer we were back at the trucks within 20 minutes. After a quick photo session off the road we were on our way back to safford with two bucks in the truck, and to top it off we were back in town before 1030 am. Thanks to reggie, champ, jacob, cris, albert, team matt, austin, michael, justin, and andrew.

Hello guys and gals. I have a question about arrows. I have been shooting the gold tip 5575 for years out of my pse thunderbolt. I have since picked up a pse xforce. I have shot the 5575 gold tips out of the xforce but the accuracy is not very good. After researching, im starting to believe the 5575 gold tips are not spined strong enough for the xforce. I really like the gold tip brand and the affordability of the arrows. Should i just bump up to the 7595 gold tips ? The reason im asking is cause my friend who shoots gold tips said he hated the move from 5575 to 7595. Im looking for a reasonably priced arrow that is gonna serve me and the xforce well. Any ideas?? And thanks for your time in advance.
-
never got the chance to shoot the 7595's. But my buddy did lend me a couple velocity xt 300 spine and they shot really good. The velocity arrows grouped better than the 5575's. I wanna get out to the range and shoot them some more before i buy a dozen but this darn wind hasnt let up.
-
Thank guys for all your reaponses. Its a pse xforce and the poundage is 75 lbs with 28 inch arrows. Ill be heading to the range hear in a couple days to try out the 7595 and the velocity xt arrows.

Hi guys. I just bought the foxpro wildfire at cabelas and im having some issues. Id call tech support but the are closed on the weekend. While in the middle of a call the sound will switch over to coyote locator, The sound will switch anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes. The Foxbang is shut off. Both presets P1 and P2 are clear. Ive been reading the manual over and over and cant find anything. My next step was to download the foxpro software off their site and reprogram or update the software.. Any ideas before i do this? Last night i was using the lightning jack sound and 6 minutes into the call the sound switched over to coyote locator. the remote was not being used during the sound switch. frustrating. any ideas and thank in advance.

Thank for your replies guys.

Was able to swap it out at cabelas. no questions asked. put the same batteries in the new foxpro and it doesnt do it with this unit.
-
thank you for the suggestion azspike. I tried a different brand new battery with no luck. And yes the coyote locator was the number one track.
