When calculating a shoot solution for wind the air density and correct shoot to distance must be factored in just like it does for trajectory. The G7 BR2 collects altitude, barometric pressure and temperature to calculate (air density) combines that with your shoot to distance (adjacent distance) aka "shoot to distance" It then lets you decide what the wind value is in 5mph increments by scrolling with the arrows on top. It will display the MOA adjustment but you have to be smart enough to know which way to hold. The values will be the same left or right. Then you get into the whole well what if the wind is at 10 MPH and blowing from 45 deg's.... (I'm trying to not drag this out but In a nut shell you have to have enough know how to cut the wind in half for this scenario.) Some of you asked about spin drift and the BR2... My .338 runs .61 MOA to right with my .250gr Bergers. (I doubt most will ever see more than .75 MOA) That's roughly 6.1" @ 1000yds. Spin drift is a constant. It will always be there and be really close to the same value all the time. Since the BR2 will not calculate this I have decided to split this difference with my windage zero so at 1000 yds. I am now roughly 3" right instead of 6" right without adjustment. Bottom like is "KNOW HOW" makes repeatable long range accuracy and will never be replaced by one tool. The BR2 just puts the shooters know how together allot quicker. This video better describes how the air density plays a factor into your calculated wind hold and how the G7 BR2 works for this. This video will explain spindrift and why I choose to "split the distance" with my windage zero.

Tissue Resistance to Arrow Penetration
AxisWorks LLC replied to JACK's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
Thanks, Doing the math I actually lost a couple lbs of K/E running the lighter/faster shafts. I figured since I already had a whole pile of axis shafts that my sight tape was already dialed to, 315fps is plenty fast and flat plus they would be a little kinder to my limbs by not pushing the 5gr. per lb. rule of thumb it was the way to go. -

What's your set-up? 70lb. (actually scales at 72lbs. maxed.) Bowtech Insanity CPX 30" draw, Easton axis 340's I tried some Black Eagle Rampage arrows that were 8.2gpi. vs my axis 340's 9.5gpi. it shed about 38grains and bumped my speed up into the 320's. (verified on 2 separate chronographs.) -

I'll worry about this when my arrows start bouncing off of animals. As of right now my 428gr. arrow coming out of the bow at 315fps have a satisfactory trajectory and penetrate just fine. -
If this were for a long action I'd be all over it!

Need recommendation for small tough quad trailer
AxisWorks LLC replied to Arrowsniper's topic in The Campfire
rossislider makes a good point. I do have to hook the trailer to the ranger to back it into my RV gate. I thought long and hard single axle vs tandem. Keep in mind blowing a tire on a tandem axle with brakes vs a single without. since my wife pulls the Ranger with her 4 runner on occasions because I'm pulling the travel trailer on trips it was a no brainier to go tandem. (tires cost 2X though also) -

I bought a Big Tex 50LA for my Polaris Ranger Crew. 12' tandem axle with brakes, and LED lighting. (The tailgate will fold both ways in case you want to haul empty it will fold forward and lay on the bed of the trailer) It can also be completely removed relatively quickly. ( I found this feature pretty handy when I used it to haul block from Home Depot last week). It allows a forktuck to pull right up to the back of it to load pallets on. $2500 new. -
Buy an airdog 165 2. The instal is pretty straight forward.

Don't bother with the filter housing rebuild kit. Add a lift pump and bypass the housing all together. Adding a positive feed behind the high pressure pump is a must for any Duramax and should have been done from the factory. If anyone wants more info on adding a lift pump to a Duramax feel free to PM me.

When my dogs are pups I keep 2 steel food bowls side by side. When its feeding time I bang them together multiple times loudly! They associate the loud banging with a good thing (food) and I never have gunshy problems.
