Anyone using the Moultree M-100 camera?
AxisWorks LLC replied to AxisWorks LLC's topic in Trail Cameras
Thanks for the response guys. In doing the reaserch on mouletrie camera independant reviews allot of people had the same problems you two are having. After having said that they were suprised to say how well the new cameras from moultrie for 2012 preformed during the testing. I like the idea of having a viewing monitor on the camera due to the fact this is the only thing I own that will use an SD card aside from my computer. In other words I would have to go out and buy a camera or viewing device that takes an SD card if I wanted to view the pictures on the spot. The only reason I can think that I would need to do this is if its not producing and I can decide then if I want to move it. Speedy. -
Spent Saturday and Sunday up there and had absolutly no luck. Will be back at it again the next two weekends. Just curiouse if anyone else on here has this tag and how there hunts are going. Thanks, Speedy.

After hunting all 3 weekends in 4A my hunting partner finally tagged this gobbler last Sat. morning.

Throwing out another vote for the Mossberg 835. Although a remington fan you simply can not beat a Mosberg 835 for a strictly turkey gun. (which if i recall without looking back is what the OP originaly asked.) Im running a Mossberg 835 dipped in mossy oak camo. 24" barrel, Primos jellyhead .690 choke, http://reviews.bassp...s.htm shooting 3 1/2" Remington premier high velocity #4's http://www.basspro.c...ct/31056/143709 and a limbsavers recoil pad! LOL. I picked mine up for $180 at a gunshow and it strictly hunts turkey and cyotes. Edit with TruGlow red dot I added last night and picture. Speedy.

AxisWorks LLC replied to AxisWorks LLC's topic in Optics and tripods
Wow so many great options. Thanks for all the replies. Speedy. -
using for a soft case while packing them around. I dont use mine around my neck as I always have my 10's for stalking. I dont have the green soft case that comes with them because I bought them used and cannot find anyone selling just the green swaro soft case. I tried the badlands bino case. It almost fit but I was a little nervouse the magnetic strip wouldnt stay closed all the time since it was a little on the tight side. Anyone have an alternative that fits the 15's really well? Thanks, Speedy.

A buddy and I harvested these pigs Feb. 26th in Unit 33. I glassed them up 1 1/2 miles out about 7:30am. Put a nasty stalk on and had them down by 8:30. Mine (Left) was shot @ 170 yards with the .257 Wby. 115 gr. Berger VLD. Speedy,

Do guns reall "like" some ammo over others?

I have befinatly noticed a big differance shooting from lead sled VS shoulder. I only use my lead sled during load development. Once I have chosen a load the zeroing is done from the shoulder. Speedy. Interesting info. I shoot of a sled when zeroing and then make small adjustments when shooting of my pack or tripod as I would in the field. But isn't the difference from sled to free hand just my poor habits effecting the shot? Always wondered that. Sorry should have elaborated on the from shoulder. (by all means not free hand from shoulder.) I still use sandbags on a bench when zeroing from the shoulder. I can shoot just as good of groups but it seams they always group lower when shot from the shoulder. The only thing I can think is the lead sled is creating a pivot point at the lower portion of the butt on the rifle. (recoiling up) When shot fron the shoulder my body moves back obsorbing the recoil. Just an observation I have made with multiple rifles. Speedy. -
I have a set of Swaro 15s that I just added the Winged Eye Cups too and love them. My buddy has a set of Vortex Kiababs. Does anyone know if something like this is available for the Vortex 15's. I did some googleing and havent came up with anything... Thanks, Speedy.

Count me in as a buyer as soon as they are available! Thanks, Speedy.

Well here goes my 2 cents again... .300WM VS .300 WSM. Same caliber, almost identical balistics. So what is the advantage of one over the other? Why would Winchester even create a WSM if both these are the same? Here was there method behind the madness. Winchester was trying to achieve two things with the WSM. One, get it into a short action and benefit from the rigidity the short action offers over the long action and two they claim powder stacked in a short fat case burns more efficiently than stacked in a long narrow case. I have the WSM but I am not going to tell you one is better over the other. I will tell you the .300 WSM I have does shoot great though. Speedy,

I stayed in the Best western there in Catalina 2 weeks ago helping a buddy on his archery Javalina hunt. Nice place $107/night. I have the rifle hunt coming up and I will be staying in the Nixon house at 3C Ranch. Give them a call. The room is only $85/night for 2 people. It is literally right before you get to the peppersause campgrounds on Mt. Lemon Rd. Link: http://www.3cranchaz.com/ Speedy,
