What size and how much are you guys paying for SD cards?
-
I just ordered the Moultrie M-100 with security box for $138.00. I liked the option to view the card on a screen on the camera. I'll have it out this weekend and report on its performance in 2 weeks.

whats your effective range?
AxisWorks LLC replied to soccerstar2013's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I practice @ 100 yards constantly because it makes me a much better shot at closer ranges. Try it. It will magnify your errors. I am 100% confident at 60. However the more I practice I'd be lying if I said 60 would be my absolute max. Thankfully I have yet to take a shot past 58 yards on a game animal. Bowtech 82nd Airborn 30" draw, 70 # 423gr. Easton Axis, Rage 2 blades. Black Gold 7 pin. -
Not an instructor but this months Field and Stream magazine has some really good tips for archery shooting. Spending the $5 for a copy at Barns and Noble might be money well spent for ya. Just thought I'd pass it along. Speedy

I am a member of a lot of Forums. Hunting, Shooting, Diesel, etc. etc. One thing I love about CWT is the bashing is minimal around here. This is by far the best forum I have been apart of when it comes to this. As members we should all be proud of that.

Inquiring 257 Weatherby setups,
AxisWorks LLC replied to Eliteshooter's topic in Long Range Shooting
What rifle/model did you end up getting? And what did it set you back if you dont mind me asking? The reason being is that I am considering getting a .257 just because its a round on steroids and just for the sheer thought of having a bada$$ round. Tyler, The .257 Wby's come in both 24" and 26" barrel lengths. Your going to want the 26" for optimal performance. -
Here ya go Coach. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ballistic-Tough-Jacket-Series-Case-for-The-New-iPad-3-iPad-2-Black-Brand-New-/330744075657?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item4d01e21589

Inquiring 257 Weatherby setups,
AxisWorks LLC replied to Eliteshooter's topic in Long Range Shooting
You will love the .257 Wby. Little advice, keep the barrel clean and cool. It will heat up quick. I've had good results with both 100 gr. TTSX and 115 gr. VLD Hunting Bergers. Here is my setup. Remington 700 LSS. Glass bedded in an HS Precision stock, Timney trigger, Nikon Monarch 6-24x50 BDC. -
Happy B day buddy! We still celebrating at Toby's Fri. Night? Let me know.

10 yr old swaro vs new vortex kaibab
AxisWorks LLC replied to KaibabHunter's topic in Optics and tripods
All right I'll bite...If money wasnt a factor and both fit your face. You would be crazy to not choose the Swaro's If money is a factor youd be crazy to not buy the Kiababs. 3 of my hunting partners have Kiababs and 2 of us have Swaros. I honestly believe the Swaros are better for myself. Here is the MAJOR differance in the two. Eyecups, size and width of travel between them.I personally cannot stand the eyecups on the Kiababs especially since they dont make winged attachments for them. They are also to big in dia. for my eye sockets making them uncomfortable in no time. To me this alone was worth the extra money for the Swaros. On the other hand two of my hunting partners eyes are so close together and the Swaros simply will not "fold" close enought for them to focus. Try spreading yours some time just wide enough where the two circles dont become one and glass for awile. One of them could drop the money for brand new Swaros on the spot with no worries. He owns Kiababs. I dont care which one has a slight clarity or light advantage this renders the Swaros usless to them. I encourage if your dropping the coin on quality optics spend some time with them clarity isn't everything. My buddies find just as much game as I do in their Kiababs. (Accept for stink pigs. For some reason I can spot those little suckers first everytime!) -
Anyone using the Moultree M-100 camera?
AxisWorks LLC replied to AxisWorks LLC's topic in Trail Cameras
Well If it dosnt work there probably wount be enough left of it to return. We will see I'll keep you all updated. Thanks for everyone's input. Speedy. -
I'm thinking about buying one and thought if anyone here is currently using one and willing to share feed back it would be much appreciated. http://www.moultriefeeders.com/productdetail.aspx?id=mfh-dgs-m100 Thanks, Speedy.

Ha Ha! I knew while I was typing this thread this was coming.

I had mine for 2 days and returned them. The neck strap pulled down on the back of my neck so bad it felt as if it was cutting circulation off. I'm back to my crooked horn bino strap and considering the Badlands version for my 10's...
-
These won't last long. I'd nab them if I didn't have a pair already.
-
That should work if your phone takes a micro SD card. Unfortunately mine is a Verizon phone and dosnt use one. Please let us know if that works.
-
Most of the guys I hunt with just take there digital camera to view the pics on the spot. The little screen however dosnt do much justice for gauging deer. This is what got me thinking about a larger portable light weight screen.
-
Thanks, It would be neet if it works for both.
-
AZLance, Have you tried that SD card adapter on an IPhone by chance?

Thanks Mike, The pictures look great! I think I am going to give one a shot. As long as they work they seem to have alot of nice features for the money. -
