Drew a 33 rifle tag and bought a 39 archery leftover.

Was out last Sat. Checking some cams. Saw a herd of 40 mulies out in the desert 3 forkys and a spike traveling with all the doe and fawns. No sign of rut yet. I'll be helping some friends out this weekend with muzzy tags. Should have a better report after spending the weekend behind glass. Good luck to all.

Rifle Build 7mm WSM (updated completed with pics)
AxisWorks LLC replied to Couzer's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Im a little late chiming into theis thread but FYI I believe the 5 round magazine capacity in the past pertained to semi auto centerfire only and there was never a magazine limit on bolt or lever gun centerfire or any rimfires. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how it reads. The rifle looks awesome! Great job with it. -
Looking for an ugly beat up cheap Remington 870 for a bullpup build. Cant be a 3 1/2" chamber or vent ribbed barrel. If you have an old ugly one laying around you don't want anymore let me know. Cosmetic condition is no concern. Just needs to function. Thanks, Speedy.

Wont work with the conversion but thanks anyways.

scope rings - need your help
AxisWorks LLC replied to azpredator@work's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
The directions probably don't advise locktight for the sime reason of people using the wrong type. Never use red locktight. You can get them out but it usually requires heat. I use the blue as stated before. I have never had a problem removing the screws with a proper fitting tool using the blue. Also if you plan on reusing the screws make sure you remove all the old residue from the previouse locktight with de natured alcohol before reapplying. (Personal I use MEK but I don't think you can buy that at a local hardware store.) -
scope rings - need your help
AxisWorks LLC replied to azpredator@work's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Switched all of my leopolds to tally 1 piece. For me Anytime I can eliminate one less variable to ruin a hunt the better. In this instance it's eliminating the cance of rings becoming loose from the base. It's also a plus that the Tally one piece rings and base cost around $40. Verses purchasing rings for $30 and a base for $30-$40 seperate. The Tallys will save you some coin. Speedy. -
My hunting partner won't be able to use his rifle whitetail 24B tag. We have never donated a tag before and are looking for info or organizations we can do so. Thanks, Speedy.

So I have this camera to leupold spoting scope adapter. http://www.red-dot-scopes.com/leupold-digital-camera-adapter-fits-12-40x60mm-spotting-scopes-58380.html Problem is finding a compact digital camera that accepts the 28,37,43, or 52mm threaded camera lenses adapter. I'd rather not pack a large expensive ($500 or more) Camera around while hunting or scouting. Anyone using one of these or familiar with cameras enough to know of one that will work? I stoped by Tempe camera and all I got from them was nope we don't carry anything that will work under $800. Thanks in advance. Speedy.

I have found the spot on app to be well "spot on" as long as I cronograph the actual velocities of my loads. Looking forward to hearing your experience. Speedy.
