Anyone ever dealt with Nikon Service/Repair?
AxisWorks LLC replied to PelaPapas's topic in Optics and tripods
The recoil of my .338 RUM and a lead sled stacked with sandbags snapped the elevation knob clean off a Monarch 6-24x50. LOL. I sent it in and they sent me a brand new one 1 week later. No more Monarchs on the RUM. -

Programmer for 2011 Ram 2500 Cummins
AxisWorks LLC replied to bigorange's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Regan, On Rob's website he offers EFI live tuning for 2007.5-2012 so I assumed so. Ill be the first to admit I'm not as "in tune" with the Cummins as the D'max. I am not at all familiar with HS. (other than they send me promotion emails about once a month.) I am assuming its a custom tuning software just like EFI live? To the OP. Either way a custom tuning from a reputable tuner is a much better alternative to canned tuners. ie Banks, Edge, Bully dog, etc. Get some good gauges, (I'm a big fan of hard gauges but allot of guys like the Edge CTS.for monitoring.) +1000 on the gauges and custom tuning Boost, Pyro, Trans temp and Fuel Pressure. Autometer or Isspro not GlowShift! A little tuning humor for ya Regan, -

Forget canned tuners. Find a reputable tuner that is using EFI Live. I highly recommend Rob @ Adrenaline Diesel. Simply Google him and you'll know why. He also goes by his forum handle "Idaho Rob" -

Reloading cleaning brass
AxisWorks LLC replied to gauchoand's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I always use a decap die and deprime all my brass first. Tumble then size. With a universal decap die the deprime goes pretty quick. I'd rather completely rule out any inconsistency's as much as possible. -
+1 for AR500. Outside of durability it is also much safer. Soft steel will create a crater allowing the fragments to ricochet back toward the shooter. Like shooting a blast of air into a cup. AR500 steel will not crater and will dispense the fragments parellel to the face of the target. You will see a distinct line in the dirt in font of the plate where this is happening.

I'm thinking about buying a pair of these boots for hunting. Most of my hunting is desert but I do get up in the high country as well. Which model do you recomend for out terrain? Thanks, Speedy.

Thanks for the review on the Mountain Guides. I'm really considering the Safari Guides. Only because they are light and uninsulated. I shredded a pair of Under Armor boots on one Couse hunt in 24B. bought a pair of Danners last year and haven't been happy with those either.

I'm not seeing this as a good portrayal of hunters... It really kinda pisses me off to be honest. What's your opinion? Speedy.

Just thought I'd see if any of the other 22 tag holders in this unit are on CWT.

What are your preferred gun cleaning solvents and oils?
AxisWorks LLC replied to rossislider's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Shooters choice solvent and sweets 7.62 for my rifles. I don't let the sweets stay in the bore for more than 10 minutes. You'll be amazed at the copper it removes after you "think" it's clean. -
It has become awfull scripted by still more entertaining the most of the other crap on TV.
