The Wyoming press release is about outright poaching. 4 out of 10 vehicles chose to shoot in a closed area. That IS disturbing. It would be interesting to know if the 4 were actually licensed hunters enroute to a legal hunting area.

Got a hunt starting 11/17. Cold weather up north should be moving more birds into AZ. Will be hunting a new area this year, hope we get some birds to decoy.

You bet! Although I've not seen a ton of Coues spikes in my life. That particular spike is about twice as long as any I remember seeing.

Wonder if this/these lazy azz idiots realize they could have GIVEN the remainder of the carcass to someone. I'd have been happy to have it. Makes me wonder if this deer was taken under less than honorable circumstances.

Mineral lick, natural or man made? I've seen ungulates eat dirt. Seen javelina root up the dirt where a salt block had dissolved into the soil.

It's been a very long time since I got my 1st deer. Remember it like it was yesterday. Congrats on your accomplishment.

ASU's season is shot. Not going to win the south, likely have a few more losses looming. I'd like to see Graham start planning for next year. Bercovici is a good guy but not the one year wonder Devil fans had hoped for. IMO, it's time to start grooming one of the blue chip freshmen QB's waiting in the wings. The sooner the better.

Trophy, that particular photo shows the 5th point on the bulls right side but not the continuation of the beam. Again, very deceiving photo.

Getting back on topic, no doubt a B&C class 5 X 5 is a very impressive specimen. If you got one,whether grip & grin or on the hoof, post it up!

The Winters bull is a 6X7. It is. But the 6 is more like a kicker on the big 5 side i think . I would call it a 6x6 or 6x7 personally. but I'm comparing it to this 5x6 that were calling a main frame 5x5 Most of the photos of the bull are deceiving. This is a photo will Alan Ellsworth.

Nose bumping with the 113 in cold weather is marginal. I did disassemble one of the heads and remove some of the "goo", it definitely helped with the "nose bump". PIA to disassemble, factory used thread locker. Make sure you've got tight fitting tools should you decide to take it apart. If you're only using binoculars (no spotter) I'd recommend the 111. Pans much easier. Remember, these heads are Chinese manufacture ......

I've purchased and use this head (2 of them). It is adequate. Somewhat stiff, the fluid action varies depending on temperature. It's a decent head for the $$$ but I'd recommend spending more if using the head for video. The "fluid" feature is somewhat overstated, especially in cold weather.
