Don't jinx yourself my friend.. Show us pictures when they are filled. They can still look like that after the hunt sometimes. .....Let's just hope they don't taste as good as they look . Sorry, I have never had a tag yet, just venting.

Everybody keeps thinking of this new water level mark because of the addition to the dam. Roosevelt is nearly at it's old high level mark which is above average. Higher than it normally is or has been.

Haha.... I wrapped mine with a bunch of electrical tape.. It doesn't rattle any more. Had to beat it in with a hammer......and believe me, it is German now..(GOOWDENTITE). I am gonna have to pull the pin and leave it connected to the trailer to ever get it out tho...hopefully..

Its all trial and error and personal preferences. Never hurts to have extra stuff,if you can haul it. Most of it really depends on the pack you carry.

Small game is fine. Big game, your question will be answered after you see some tragedies and have horror stories to tell about what you have seen. Its 50/50. I think sticking to the basics is the best practice. Just my 2 cents, game management also depends on us. I am pretty sure hunters kill more than one deer in a hunt due to not recovering an animal. I might get a ration for this, but just an opinion. I will never take a bedded shot cause the vitals aren't in the same position as standing, Yardage is also a major factor in all of this.
