I was told by a guy in Sportsmans in PHX that Cabelas or Bass Pro will charge their own small fee for buying tags through them, unlike other places besides G&F like Walmart or Sportsmans when you buy tags, is that not true?

I also did not know that, but if your going north this weekend might as well just stop at the game and fish office off of carefree hwy. That way you don't have to pay the Cabelas fees for their tags.

I saw that too so I called them up and told them to change the battery in the sign because it was flashing. Ha, bet they weren't expecting that one! Now it's going to include "sign is solar powered so please don't call about battery getting low" haha.

Umm, sounds pretty darn cool to me, if I was in the area I would do that in a heart beat.

A 190" desert mule deer taken from public lands is no joke. I think a bit harder than a 120" coues though. A lot of people always talk about 200" mule deer and all that stuff but a 170" desert mule deer is a dang good deer, not easy to do, so a 190" is the stuff of legends. I hunt coues religiously but my vote it for the mule deer.

I'm left handed and the bow I shoot is left handed but all my guns are right handed. Just grew up shooting right handed, never left, and about a month ago I shot a good friends rifle that was left handed and I just couldn't get comfortable behind the gun haha. Just too used to right handed anything else feels weird. But besides shooting guns, everything else I do, I do left handed.

Leave some water and snacks outside of your truck/trailer when you leave camp. Majority of break in/ransacks by illegals happen because they are looking for water and food. If you leave a jug of water and some snacks out then they will have no need to break in to your stuff if they find their way into your camp. Also while out in the field, don't portray yourself as law inforcement. Don't dress like them and don't act like them and you will be left alone. Their goal is to get into the country undetected, so last thing they wanna do is bring attention to themselves by messing with people.
