  1. Well after days of talking about this with my wife this is the out come in 1 1/2 years our youngest starts school and i have the go ahead to get a Brit this might sound crappy to some but to me it is the most logical it will give me the time i need to #1 spend with a puppy #2 learn more about handling a bird dog #3 figure out what collars will be needed #4 find a good breeder and most importantly spend more time with my little guy. Maybe next season i can find a mentor to take me along and show me the in's and out's and point (pun intended) me in the right area for collars and what not. BTW if the deal of a lifetime comes up might have to wash the bosses car and get an advance on the time line
  2. Yeah she would not be mad if i came home but to drop that kind of money without her knowing would be the problem is she wasn't told
  3. Dude I wasn't trying to kill your dreams. Just suggesting to think about it. It's not easy getting rid of a family pet. It is all good didn't take away a dream just postponed it my wife got them for the kids and when the fluffy cuteness was gone so was the kids interest and i never got attached to them. But in time i will get a Brittany and bond with it like no other.
  4. Well i will take your advice tres and not get one yet
  5. Thanks i will let you know. So after much puppy pictures and constantly bringing it up she has gave in a little. She said i have to get rid of at least one of the other dogs we have already. I am not sure how i feel about this. They are her dogs that she had to have and now they are not in puppy stage any more. So what do i do. Please don't judge me

  8. Lol she hunts to and her only argument is we have 3 dogs but they are her dogs
  9. Thanks I will definitely let you know I don't know where to start or what is a going price for a Brittany. I just know I hunt alone a lot and a dog would be a good companion Jones Brit reminded of my Springer i had for 18 yearsGoing rate depends on if you go with a backyard breeder or a reputable breeder. I've seen them go from $600 to $1500. There is a breeder in showlow that tries to sell their britts for $1400! Don't go with them. PM me for the name of them. K Nine bird dogs who I work with closely has great dogs and is very helpful with training. I know a few guys on this forum can back me on that. There are a few other breeders I can recommend once you decided on what to do. Male or female

  20. Will it let me have free range of my arms and will it help me to shoot better It hasn't helped me shoot any better. I'd buy 3 if it did that. I would buy a pink one if it made me shoot better. Here is a real question. I would like one without a bunch of useless pockets. I need room for shells birds and water bottles. Will this fit the build

  22. So as some of you may know I was looking for an over and under shotgun I tried to trade and it just never seem to work out. And then I started doing some web search and I found this savage Stevens model 555 within my budget. Granted it is not a $2,000 Beretta but it is an awesome feeling handling little gun. I hope to get to finish the season with it this week and will give an update So if you are like and want an o/u but not the price look at this gun
