The tire market is fierce, there is little to no money to made selling them. I work at a dealership and get cost plus 10% on tires, and it ends up being cheaper online with free shipping and no sales tax.

The 7.3L is one of the best engines made. The transmission behind them is a E40D, not the best trans ever made, it won't leave you stranded, but if your a heavy hauler it leaves a lot to be desired. Shift kits and big converters help a little bit, and there are some tricks you can do, but it's just a pillow soft, short shifting trans, that trans is designed to get into 4th and lock up the converter as fast as possible. 96 7.3 extended cab is worth around 7k, more if it's a 4x4, and doesn't leak oil like a stuck pig

Oh well, I guess our 600 gallons are about to expire then.

There are lots of issues with def pumps, running them till empty creates so many crystal in the tank, it causes premature failure. Wherever you read that def goes bad at 100 degrees is a lie. All of our def is sitting in 55 gallon barrel and is subject to the heat 120+ and we never had a issue with quality.

CW 10mm Handgun Special Deal - GLOCK 20
ctracingraptor replied to Healy Arms's topic in The Campfire
I have one and I love it, and I paid way more -
How many engine hours?

Sorry for the confusion, I thought it was new, I would one buy online with no sales tax and free shipping. Some people aren't comfortable with that idea though.

Sig makes a 10mm, but it's the price is absurd. He was more looking towards a 1911. Hoss50 http://www.jgsales.com/kimber-custom-tle-rl-ii-semi-auto-1911-style-pistol,-10mm,-night-sights,-g10-grips,-new.-p-99027.html

You can get a Kimber TLE II for $899 local, $920 online with no sales tax.

I have no doubt the SR is a good gun for the money. But at that price point it must be missing something when compared to other manufacturers. The same goes for the RIA, it's a great 10mm option for less than $600. The slide fitment isn't as tight, and sure the quality isn't top notch. The quality of a kimber isn't in same realm when compared to the RIA, but it's still a nice little setup. I have higher end kimbers, and owner some cheaper ones and the quality is way better then my sig 1911, and I love my sig. But the RIA is a good gun for $600 or less, the SR is probably a great gun in the $750 price range. With that being said I have more than that invested in my G20, but my decision was made on the weight savings, and the SR wasn't even around. But I would be upset if on scratched or damaged a kimber on a hunting trip. I wouldn't feel that bad if a RIA bounced off the rocks, and long as it still functioned I would still carry it.

A lot of people share they same feelings. IMO $750ish for the ruger or $900ish for the kimber, I would pick the kimber every single time. That being said I've never picked up a SR1911, but I'm more than confident it wouldn't change my decision. I wish SIG would release a 1911 in 10mm

I have three 1911s, two of which are kimbers. I was also looking for a 10mm for a hunting sidearm, the weight of the 1911 in 10mm is a lot, when compared to a polymer one. I ended up going with a Glock 20, double the capacity and weights a lot less, if your in the market for a 10mm give the G20 a feel. It honestly has quickly became one of my favorite pistols. Some people hate glocks, and you might not like them as well, but I still love them.

You should have tried the sausages as bait, I've caught them on a ton of different things from cheese to French fries

Is there a weight limit that you can bring back across the border. Or do you just claim it?

If it's a 2015 and up, it's not a easy job. You have to remove the spring, compress the coil, remove the strut, and install the spacer, and then put it all back together, with a tremendous amount of force. It's not a easy job even with the correct tools, prior to 2015 it was a easy job.

Will the RS3 accommodate a magnum cartridge, I bet lance would know?

+1 on the 82, it's a nasty little road, I drove it from long lake northbound, and I was in to deep to turn around and doubleback, I though the front end of my jeep was going to fall off. On my map it showed is was a maintained good road, what a lie! That road is dreadful lol

We have vehicles wrapped all the time at my work, I've seen excellent work and I've seen terrible work. The devil is in the details, cutting in around the doors and headlights, or anywhere there is a gap between the panels, is where the quality will show. But if your just doing a hunting rig, I say do it. But get yourself a heat gun before you start..

Ran into this little fella up by stoneman lake this weekend..

I'd bet with a little wd-40, it would work perfectly

I felt pretty sure it was a gopher, but I've never seen that color and pattern, so I left it alone

I'll go $300, and keep it as a backup. Does it include a scope?
-
I didn't say it was a reliability concern, it was the FTE, FTF, stovepipe and random dropping the mags that was a issue lol. But it was once of the very first R1 ever made, like I said I'm sure they have fixed those issues by now, and it's still a great deal. My Sig 1911 will have issues with the early version mags, but it doesn't happen with Kimber or Wilson Combat mags, but I bought it on a great deal as well knowing that had issues that could be easily fixed.

Looks like a geocache, you should have opened it

It's a great deal, I though about getting one for a backup, not saying it's a bad gun, my buddy had one and it gave him a ton of issues. I imagine they got the issues worked out by now, and it's hard to beat at that price. I'll stick with my Kimbers
