My group has only received 3 out of 4 tags, still waiting on the last one.

Dang! Now that's a stout blade!

I sign it and put it in my hunting pack. It stays right there until it's time to peel and stick. Also make my buddies do the same thing. And as soon as we get into camp, i do a tag check.

I reload the 168gr TTSX in my 300 WM and they are just plain nasty. DRT. Dead Right There.

My very first archery memory was sneaking my older brothers Bear compound bow out of the house when everyone was asleep and flinging arrow after arrow at the hay bales. My first archery kill was a 43 lb javelina sow when i was 16. We pit roasted her for my Bday and i fed her to all my family and friends. Good times.

I bought a pair of the orange banded ones stay around your neck. They work pretty good, but I've got to get better about putting them in before I shoot.

I had a pair of Danner Frontiers for 8+ years and I absolutely loved them! When I finally put them to their well deserved rest, I find out they had quit making the Frontiers. I must have tried on 2 dozen boots, including all of the various 'Pronghorn" models, trying to find one that didn't pinch my ankles or the top of my foot, it seemed like every Danner boot had the same pinch points. As a last ditch effort, I tried on the Kenetreks Mountain Extremes non-insulated, this will be my 3rd season with them and the are still the most comfortable shoe I own. Go try on as many boots as you can and wear them around the store for a while. And good luck!

I was at ~4000 feet, we had a bear come up behind us to about 20 Yards! The pears were 50-50. Some were still green, some were starting to turn, and some were dark red and delicious!

I have an older pair of Zeiss 15's that are 30 years old and still finding deer. Ill never part with them but I am going to be buying the new HD 15's. Look thru the Zeiss, same price as the Kiababs but way better glass, IMO.

Man, some of them bulls got me all excited! Then i checked the draw results and they said, yet again, that I did not get drawn for elk. now Im sad...

Also, keep an eye of the leftover rifle deer tags. They'll almost all be for the southern units, it'll be hot, and tends to get crowded, but hey, you'll be hunting!
