Lol, I think you'd have better luck at KUIU.com. Everyone I know absolutely loves their KUIU gear and won't part with it, sorry bud, but I don't think it's going to happen for you... You get an A for effort though
-
Good luck with this one Coueshunter. No way I'm giving up my KUIU, and I don't think anyone else will either, lol. Sorry man...
-
That a good buck right there! Had to do a double take, it looks just like the buck my little brothers is going after this Friday!
-
Carp deer, er... Mulie. Facial markings alone say mulie, tail just confirms it.

In all my years of being in the desert, I've only seen a few dozen. I like watching them though, and I love hearing them rattle! I am very VERY allergic to bee stings so if I got bit away from my truck and I was alone, I'd be in trouble. I do carry epi pens but I don't think that it would work for bites. I don't think it'd kill me, but I'd be hurting for awhile. I don't know if I'd kill the snake or not...

I bought a R700 in 300WM two Decembers ago and I had the same problem. I had to send it back in and whatever the did, that fixed it. They said something about the extractor not grabbing properly. It work great now, I havent had that proble, since. Bring it back where you bought it and se if they'll send it back for you.

That and be in shape, I killed a buck 81 yards down a canyon, took me longer than I'd like to admit to get him outta there going 5 yards at a time.

Pm sent.

^^^ Now that's funny right there! I don't think I'd try that, but you're more than welcome to try it, lol.

I'm 6'3" 295 lbs. and I love the way my J34 fits!! I guess that's why we try everything on first. Everyone is different. Sportsman's wear house has a few different Eberlestock packs, and they sell 25 lb bags of shot gun shot. Load whatever one you're looking at up and walk around for a bit and see which one fits best. That's what I did. Just make sure they know what you're doing first
-
Ive read the J34 was for shorter torsos. I'm 6'1 165lbs and the j105 fit me better. Was going to buy one, but then "the General" caught wind of my plans and snuffed them out, lol. I will have an Eberlestock eventually, probably the j105.

Heck, they have 55 gr varmint rounds in a sabot for your 30-06, I say stick with what you got, just play with the loads.
-
Lol, let me guess, you're selling these so you an buy Kuiu? Hahaha, I tried to do the same thing.

Yeah, this will end badly but it could've been avoided and turned into a lesson of hunter ethics. It's what happens after an incident like this that matters. Im sure those involved didn't want to kill a spike, it was an accident. But if they would've called it in, it might not have been so bad. Of course, we all know what happened to the G&F officer when he turned himself in for a groundhog. They threw the book at one of their own so I'm sure that scared a lot of people.... This is just terrible all around, we lost a bull for next year, they'll lose their hunting rights for a while, a lot of money, maybe their rifle, and this will probably cause the young hunter to not want to hunt again. Lose-lose all around...

I love hitting the varmint call whenever I see them. They come running in looking for a fight and usually get really close (think 4 yards!). and as for how they taste, we've always pit roasted them with some homemade BBQ sauce. And they make THE BEST summer sausage I've ever had. No joke.
-
I went out with my group and got our rifles all dialed in. All that's left is food shopping, loading up all my gear, gasin' up, and heading out!
-
I've been told that's a old wives tail. I've eaten rabbits that I took during the summer with no ill effects. After a freeze, before a freeze, makes no difference to me. (some years it doesn't even freeze in the desert...) I see a rabbit, BANG! Into the stew pot he goes. Look for parasites when you gut them and cook them properly and i dont think you've got anything to worry about.

Things your huntin buddies do that drive you nuts : )
Antmo23 replied to twigsnapper's topic in The Campfire
I'd like to add number 16. Road hunter. -
I went out scouting in a new area for my little brother and a hunting buddy of mine, I was able to glass up 4 bucks including a nice 95 class buck. It's a really tough area to get to, nasty country, they should still be there. Any body else out there having luck with scouting?
-
Haha! Totally forgot to post about that! How'ya doing!
-
I like Lorpen, but the outfitter series sock from Cabelas are really good too. I like the padded shin area they have, I little bit more protection from the cat claw...
-
Went out agian this morning and got right on one of the groups of bucks I've been watching. I hope it happens the same way on the hunt, they were broadside, feeding at 300 with the wind in our face, and had no idea we were there, lol.
-
Went out today, going out again tomorrow, got the areas all finalized, now it's all grocherie shopping, cooking and packing. I'll be set by next weekend. Whitetail bucks WITH eye guards, you've been warned.
-
I'm in 24b (don't ask where, lol) and I've been seeing a lot of deer and some good bucks sprinkled in for good measure. Went out again this morning with my family to check some new areas, I like what I saw. Going out again tomorrow to check on a few groups bucks that I've been watching. 12 more days until my little brothers hunt, it'll be a nice little sampler plate for my nov tag.

Hypothetical Bear Questions????
Antmo23 replied to azcouesfanatic's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Keep your dogs on a leash! Ok now, calm down guys. Nobody is going to shoot anybody's bear hounds. And if they do, well then they better be prepared for the consequences. Let's stick to the original question, do you shoot the BEAR or let it wal and maybe help the hounds men?
