    Binos, Good,Ok,dont bother

My Dad bought a pair of Zeiss 15x56 for $1100 in 1984. The leagend goes that he gave a ride to a guy on a bear hunt on the San Carlos rez (you might of heard of him, Dwane Adams). Dwane had a pair around his neck and let my Dad look thru them. Needless to say, he bought a pair later that week, lol. My Father passed away in 2010 and i inherited them. I've been finding deer with them for the past 3 years and I'll probably pass them on to my son or daughter when Im done hunting. 29 years of continual use and counting. "Buy nice, or buy twice". They'll thank you when the nocs are theirs, lol.

The saying "buy nice, or buy twice" has double the meaning when you're talking nocs... Save up and buy a quality pair next year. I'd rent a pair for this year, ross outdoors does optics renting (and is a sponsor of CWT.com). Vortex 15x56 HD's for $150/week, swaro 15x56 SLC $200/week. You'll still have $450-$400 that you can add to until you can afford a pair of your own.

    new to bow hunting!

+1 on Sitka gear. I don't yet own any, but I have heard and seen great things about it. Of the higher end/higher priced clothing, it is probably the only I would consider buying. If I were you, I'd look at Kuiu.com. Far, FAR superior product. The sitkas are comfy, but if you're in cat claw country, they will get shredded quick, fast, and in a hurry! I wear my kuiu attack pants everywhere i wore the sitkas and i dont have any rips or pulls. Plus, they are the most comfortable pants I own(besides my terrycloth pj bottoms ). Kuiu's are lighter and stronger than sitka (no elastic/ lycra) and I really like the camo pattern (and cheaper by an average of $20). I'm in the process of replacing all of my hunting gear with Kuiu, even my hunt pack/frame. Take a look before you decide, youll be happy you did!

    new to bow hunting!

+1! Yeah, I used to shop the outlet store on BPS.com, and the bargain cave at cabelas. It kept me in camo for cheap. The advantage max 1 pattern works pretty good everywhere in Az.a
  6. Leave a note with your number to coordinate hunting dates, or, if nobody's in there when you go to hunt, I'd hunt that tank. First come, first served. Just because he set up a pop-up blind doesn't make it his tank.

Starting to panic... Lots of questions!

Let's just say I've been watching too many episodes of bizarre food, lol. Liver, kidneys, heart, tongue, heck, even some superstition mountain oysters for those that are more adventurous. If it tastes good, eat it! I was always told to eat watch kill, which is the reason I ate so many flies as a kid(thanks Dad!).

Starting to panic... Lots of questions!

Heck, we tied the legs for my cousin's bull and we were on flat ground! Just makes things easier. The gutless method is easy, but even after i break down an animal, I end up digging through them guts anyways, lol.

YouTube it, there's a bunch of "how to" vids online. Outdoor edge has some good instructional vids, and some good knives.

Wait wait wait.... You get a bar tab, backstraps, AND beer out of the deal??!? I have been under charging for years!

Starting to panic... Lots of questions!

The refrigerator trucks show up in the same spots year after year. I took mine to Millers Southwest (a sponsor of CWT.com) in Forest Lakes. I'm sure if you call around, they'll tell you exactly where their trucks are. You just worry about knocking down a good bull, dont worry about packing it out, help isn't far away. Post a request for volenteer packers and I'm sure a few upon us will come running! If I'm not busy(I shouldn't be) then I'll help ya out! Like 6Anut said, I sure do like getting bloody....

Starting to panic... Lots of questions!

1.) No, just take you bull to their freezer trailer and they'll take care of the rest. 2.) I dont know how many you'll use. I brought one for drinks, one for adult drinks, one for snacks, one for frozen foods, one that was just ice, plus an empty extra one. But my hunt was in sept and it was hot. A minimum of 6 game bags, one for each quarter, one for backstraps, and one for misc meat. 3.) I've never hunted out of my backpack, can't help you there. 4.) there is a possibility of very cold weather in November. I'd go with a trailer/tent camping. 5.) that's a crap shoot. I know I'd help out, but I can't speak for everyone. I hope that helps. Good luck!

    E-Scouting

My favorite, "I've never been in this unit, but a drew a tag for it, first choice!" I was in that situation last year, but I scouted a bunch, and I was on google earth so much that my GF thought I had a problem, lol. When hunters put out the feelers for a starting location, and it's a unit I've hunted and don't plan on hunting in the near future, I'll help out. But please, use PM's when giving info! Anyone can google search a unit number and BAM! Pages and pages of info...

    Toads!

My Aunt's dog got a hold of one recently, she couldn't use her hind legs for a few days. I just saw her Friday and she's back to her old goofy self(black lab).

    What about a 2000 Nissan frontier 2WD 4cyl 5-speed for a trade?
  18. A ground blind over water might work, but calling in Nov is more than likely a moot point. Try to find a spot to glass from the road and go from there. 24a (and every unit that has coues inhabit) is rough country so that'll limit where you can go. And bring a buddy or a "lucky" nephew to carry your buck out for you
  19. What you you getting for a box of 20ga?

    Hunting Buddy's

He didn't add anything positive to the site. All he did was sling mud and talk down to people he's never met in person. The point of this site is to promote our shared love for everything outdoors and for those pesky little deer. He didn't do that. I for one won't miss him.

"Going out of Fishing & Hunting" sale

Sorry to hear that you're getting out of hunting and fishing Tony. I'm interested in the lanterns, tanks, and camp stoves. And maybe the float tube/flippers. Let me know what you can let them go for and I'll get you the money as soon as possible. And I'll match the 5% donation to Coueswhitetail.com, its for a GREAT cause.

He'll probably never have them and it's best to take him out of the gene pool. So if you wanted to PM me GPS coords, I'll see what I can do to help out
