http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/sportsmans/Mahco-Covert-Neoprene-Padded-Seat/productDetail/Chairs-Seats-and-Loungers/prod999901363502/cat100884 just do it, you'll love yourself later.

I like how the air pads pack down smaller, but neoprene can't pop and Az terrain isn't too kind on equipment.

If that buck shows up and matches, SHOOT HIM DEAD. TWICE.
-
Looking like its going to be in the low 30's most nights, SUPER pumped!

I love my 1850. Stupid easy to load up a quatered Coues and super comfy. If you're in the market, Id jump on this deal.

Redemption.........warning; long story and pic heavy
Antmo23 replied to jonscaife's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Thats awesome! I hoping for redemption this year. Been chasing the same buck for 3 years now, I hope I get to tell a story like yours soon. -
I have the Mt Extremes and absolutely love them. I did wear my soles down in less than 3 years, but you know where I've been going, that terrain eats up boots. $85 To get then re soled. Took a long time to break em in, but they are, by far, the most comfortable pair of boots/shoes I've ever had.

I run the 1850, full kit, its perfect for all-day trips. I thought about the 3200 but I know Id fill up all that extra space with crap I didn't really need. Its stupid easy to load up an entire quartered Coues, big enough for an elk hind quarter, and very very comfy, even with a heavy load.

Male or female? and are they fixed?

I use a Caldwell bipod, 9-13" I believe. Works great for prone shots. If the grass is too tall, I just lay my pack down and put the bipod on that. Usually gives me enough to see over the grass. We also carry Jerry-rigged U-braces for our tripods if needed.

Going after quail Friday with an uncle. Saturday, my buddy and I will be chasing bears.

I seem to have the same problem every year as soon as they start rubbing velvet. The bucks seem to change their pattern as soon as they go hardhorned. Takes a few weeks to get back to normal, at least, in my experience.

That top buck is the one that made me drool. But I take any of the three if given the chance.

Go to a Rancho Market and buy a tamale pot, basically a metal trash can, and boil it out in that. It'll stink, but nothing you can do about that now. Might want to add a wee bit of bleach to help cover the smell.

Remington 700 in 300 WM. Goes by the name of Winnie Cooper.

An extra release stached in their truck.

Face paint, and don't forget the neck and ears! I forgot to reapply once and used the charcoal off a burnt stick from a burn we were hunting. Worked like a charm!

6:43 pm. Exactly 6:43 pm. Was sitting in my tree stand, watching a lil antelope buck harass a doe and thought to myself "I shouldn't be sitting down right now...". almost as soon as I stood up, the bull from my avatar showed up and got killed.

Bow or rifle, Shoot!

I haven't spent much time in a blind or treestand, but I don't think I could ever listen to music, I dont like the noise. Now I have worn them while glassing on scouting trips. I find that classical music calms me and helps me to slow down and glass more effectively.

Solid copper bullet better performance on larger animals or smaller coues?
Antmo23 replied to apache12's topic in Long Range Shooting
Been using the 168 gr TTSX for the past few years in both my 30-06 & my 300wm. With that ballistic tip, them bullets open up as soon as they penetrate the skin. If you lung shoot a deer or bear without hitting bone, it'll still turn the lungs into jelly. I highly recommend them.
