I combined my radio and GPS and got the Garmin 530 hcx. It's a great radio and GPS. I use all the features, but would probably buy the 520 next time. It's great to have one less thing to carry.

Congrats to both of you. I know how excited he must be, I remember last year taking my nephew out and he got is first deer. He was giddy for a week!

I've never hunted coyotes and you've got my curiosity up. What do you use them for after the hunt (food, hide, both)? Kevin

I used to bait for deer, but never had any luck. Last time I talked to game & fish (about 2 years ago) they said baiting for deer was legal, only predatory animals were illegal to bait. Rules change daily it seems though, so I'd go through the hoops and call just to keep yourself out of trouble. Kevin
