I know I have hunted alot of spot b's in my life. I have also had alot of guy's come in on top of good spots. I either move along or adjust to use their presence to help me. You can't fix stupid and life's to short to get all blown up over it.

That is a great story. I really like the fact she got involved all the way thru reloading and the hunting. Your a lucky man to have such a involved daughter.

Congrats, I like all the youth hunts.

I was walking into a pond down by barnhart opening day of archery deer a few years ago when I walked right into a Mohave who was stretched across the trail in the manzanita about 3 feet off the ground. I figure he was hunting from above as the brush was pretty thick. If he had not buzzed I would have hit him about mid thigh as I was moving pretty quick. Need less to say I found another trail to get into that spot.

Hate to beat a dead horse but anyone else having trouble loading draw page

Another note I was shocked in the 5 minutes between putting in javelina and turkey there was over a 500 number difference in confirmation numbers. That's one really busy system right now. -

Nice buck congrats.

Thats a big Brown, nice fish. Use to be alot of big browns in this state. I remember throwing 6 and 8 inch rapalas on willow springs as a kid. You could hit all the rim lakes back then and you would stand a chance to catch big trout all the time not anymore however, only the res has any lakes you can still catch big trout. Once in awhile a creek gives up a big brown but not near as often as back in the day.

I will take it. If still available. I will pm you.

I will just love a tag. If I ever draw, I will know my ram when I see him. I have ruined 1 hunt in my life because of all the score talk it will not happen again.

You answered your own question with the 270 "is the most accurate gun I have ever owned". Plenty of gun and your confidence level will make it your best choice.

Good buck, smile young man.

Family Squirrel Hunt
jim replied to Big Browns's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Adam your shooting squirrels behind the fences. Tell the boy's and the Tracy great job. Maybe we can get Sean and the boys toghether before the end of the season. -
Same info as above, lots of smaller bucks in behind Williams. If you have the ranch permits get up high and glass cedar flats.
-
Great job on the cows. Lots of good eating right there.

My thoughts on unit 1 would be that the unit had plenty of bulls prior to the fire and will stabilize after the herd slows down post fire. That's when the game and fish will put the tags back to pre fire numbers. If you think all the big bulls are being killed every year where do all the horn hunters keep finding all the sheds they haul in? Just go sit with the horn buyer in round valley and you will see that there are plenty of big bulls left after all the guys that dont know how to hunt elk unless they are screaming and running to calls. The guys that kill big bulls consistantly will continue to kill big bulls because they understand elk and put in the time to get it done.

Awesome bull Will. Tell your wife congrats.
