I will be in 22s with a couple friends who have tags It should be fun. I find this hunt to be 1 of my favorite hunts every year. I don't do the rifle thing to often but thank god these guys do it's a fun hunt with good people.

Walmart carries the 870 for 307.00. They have both youth/womans and full size.

I do not believe they are fair game as buffalo in AZ are consdered a game animal. These would be like finding sheep in a unit that does not have a hunt for them. It would be closed to buffalo unless G & F made tags available with an established hunt.

In addition to the prohibitions prescribed under A.R.S. §§ 17-301 and 17-309, the following devices, methods, and ammunition are unlawful for taking any wildlife in this state: 1. An individual shall not use any of the following to take wildlife: a. Fully automatic firearms, including firearms capable of selective automatic fire; or b. Tracer, armor-piercing, or full-jacketed ammunition designed for military use.

That 18a hunt is tough. I had it last year we finally killed a couple cows 3 weeks in. We did see some bulls the first couple days then they just disappeared.

I shared a couple elk hunts with Dan he was always upbeat and fun to be around. That is a great photo of him.
