Selling for a friend. Hawke 3x12x56 scope with red/green illuminated center dot. The scope is in good shape. It has been mounted on a rifle, but rarely if ever shot. Illumination works, I just put a new battery in it. 30mm rings are included. They appear to be similar to the entry level vortex 6 screw rings. $225 obo for the scope with rings. The scope new is $320-350 it appears. The rings are $48 on amazon.

ISO 6.5 PRC lightweight rifle, Sako, Tikka, threaded

Maybe a slower powder would yield some more velocity. I know the barrel is short, but I bet with some powder tweaking you could get those numbers pumped up. -
Top! $150 OBO

The barrel life figure is what scares me. I don't see how a 7mm Rem Mag is a 1500 round gun, but a 7mm BC at much higher pressure is a 2000 round gun... I shoot on the 7mm BC at first, but I do think it has some merit if the barrel life aspect is reasonable.

Is your load already developed with it, or are you trying to find some to try? It is a good powder, but there are other powders that are good too and are more frequently available. 7828 has been harder to find for awhile. On Brunoshooters.com they show both H1000 and Retumbo in stock that would be in a similar burn rate.

That is a nice big doe!

My younger son drew the general rifle hunt tag this year as his 1st deer tag. 2 weeks ago my older son was on the youth hunters in the same unit and the big storms really put a damper on that hunt. The weather for this hunt was much better thankfully. Friday morning was a dud, but Friday evening we sat a blind that we setup a few ago. About 445pm 6 deer walked in. 2 spikes and 4 doe. We were teying to get him settled and setup for a shot on a spike and they were moving and feeding. Either stopping in front of other deer, behind other deer, or at bad angles. After about 5-10 min something kinda spooked then and they went into cover and fed away. Bummer. About 530pm a few doe popped out of another area farther away, then came the 2 spikes. It was the same group. We started positioning on them and from the right 4 more deer fed in, this group had a Forkhorn in the mix, so we started to target him. Again. He wouldn't stop moving or stopped in bad positions. Eventually it got to dark and we had to let them go. Saturday was uneventful other than bumping some does here and there. Sunday morning went like Friday morning. Not alot. Sunday afternoon we set the blind again and the 4 does and 2 spikes fed back in around 5pm. We were able to get my son lined up on a shot at about 200yards. He sent a round and you could tell the buck was hurt bad, but he walked about 30yrds and lied down. We gave him some time, but he was still head up so I had my son send another round. He was hit again, walked about 10yrds and lied down again. After awhile we went over and he expired. It wasn't as clean as you pray for, but it was done. He was a pretty happy camper and I was a happy dad. We quarter him out and got him out of there after dark. You always want a trophy, but this will be his first of hopefully many. So this is trophy #1 with room to grow.

I didn't get my first deer until I was 35, and still don't have a coues under my belt. He is way ahead of his dad.

I tried to PM you. But it said you can't receive messages. How is $80 shipped.

I think 50 are brand new. 48 or so twice fired. I lost 1 or 2 at the range.

I have some hornady brass for 9.3x62 if you are interested.

I remember lots of times when I was a kid outdoors. We camped in late August along the Black River and I would catch crawdads because I wasn't patient enough to trout fish. When I was 15 My dad and I killed a cow elk on a late hunt. For years his "hunting" trips were just excuses to get drunk with his friends and they rarely got anything. So this time when it was time to cut and clean the elk it was interesting to see him have very little idea what to do, and learn he didn't like blood and had got all queezy cleaning it. I basically had to learn on the fly with a little direction and clean it myself because he was trying not to vomit. 🤣 He may not have been a good hunter, but he had no role models and didn't do it as a kid, so I am glad he at least tried and got me out there. Dove hunts when I was a kid were my favorite though. I was the one who was like 10yrs old waking him up to get ready.

My group got javelina tags, and the kids drew Turkey.

We normally hunt farther south. Before the storm in scouting when water was scarce we were seeing deer and cow elk regularly because we knew where they had to go. After the rains it let them get water wherever they wanted and the hot areas we had scouted got really cold. We explored more areas though and found some more travel routes/areas so hopefully one of the tag holders this weekend can zero in on a Buck. I am going to have to start working on scouting cows more in the north 1/2 of the unit. The area we have had success over the years is drying up some i think. The cow quantity is down, and rhe bull quality is down too.

I was in 23s with my son. We went up Sunday afternoon. It started raining Sunday night and didn't really quit til Monday night (over 2 inches in that time). We hunted Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. It was tough. Tuesday nothing was moving, Wednesday was marginally better, but still windy. Thursday was calm, but we couldn't get on anything. He had the deer and elk tag. We saw everything but. 1 black bear 3 coyotes 18 doe 1 6x6 bull elk 12-15 miles hiked. Very frustrating to be honest. Had the rain not come, I am confident we probably would have gotten a deer, and maybe a cow. We walked out empty. My younger son and I are headed up Thursday night for his hunt in the same area for deer along with 2 others. Harley

We have to go to some degree because he has the deer tag with no point guard. The elk tag has point guard though...

I am on the fence right now of turning in a youth elk tag because if the weather is what they say it will.nevwr be able to get to where we normally hunt them. The roads will be to bad.

Do you know how many rounds down the tube?

Timney is an AZ company, so I try and support them the most. If you are around north phoenix you can walk into there headquarters and buy them if needed.

Yhat is good news! The 135gr bergers shoot really well too along with the 128gr hammers in my 257 weatherby. -
Somebody needs a decent scope. Deer and elk season is almost here so someone needs some glass. $175 OBO

This is a 270 winchester I assume, not a 270 weatherby?
