    Input on a truck

Older Dodge automatics sucked too. Newer ones are better from what I understand. Again, I own a Dodge, therefore it has a Cummins and a manual transmission. My last truck was the same, and my next truck will be the same. Stick Shift & Cummins Motor. All day, everyday.

    Input on a truck

You buy a Dodge because you want the Cummins motor. You don't buy a dodge if you are not getting the Cummins motor. Just my 2 cents. I currently have a Dodge, and my last truck was a Dodge. My next truck will be a Dodge. I would never buy a dodge with a gas motor on purpose. Chevy has the best gas motors. Ford has the best interiors, and good gas motors. Ford had the worst diesels between 2002-2015ish whenever the new Ford diesel came out. Chevy diesels have certain years that are great, other not so much. Dodges are the best with the '07 and prior 5.9L cummins.
  4. Nice truck. Good deal and a good truck for someone. 6 speeds are not easy to find in good shape.

    Long Range Get Together

I am going to bring a buddy and he is going to try his 3006 at 600 and maybe a little farther. It doesn't have a scope with turrets so he holds over on the bdc hash marks. He will probably switch to my gun to shoot longer.

    Long Range Get Together

I plan to be shooting. I will be shooting a 300 win mag. I am bringing extra rounds...I will probably need them.
  9. CZ in 6.5x55 will be my next rifle for myself. I want to have a nice handy rifle that is light, won't kick hard, and will be plenty accurate for hunting. The set triggers on the CZ's are pretty cool too. Tikka and savage are making nice accurate rifles in 6.5 calibers too. All of the 6.5's are pretty good. 6.5 Creed is the cool guy round and 260 is another good one. Both of them don't do anything any better than the old 6.5x55. I like old school though, and I handload so I have no issues with the 6.5x55. There are a ton of great choices in 6.5MM. A 264 win mag with a brake would be awesome too. As lance mentioned too, don't overlook the .25 cal. I have a 257 Weatherby that is great. It is a basic vanguard model from Weatherby and with handloads will shoot .5-.75MOA pretty consistently. I put down my cow elk 2 years ago with this rifle at about 280 yards. A .257 Roberts AI or 25-06 or 25-06AI would be cool too. Assuming you handload.

    Loyalty Point?

I messed up a year on deer which I know is why I don't have a loyalty point for that, but I am going to call g&f about my elk. I am pretty sure I should have 1 for elk.

    License before 10 years old

This is probably going to start this year for my 2 boys. I have an almost 5 year old that I am hoping to get a decent hunt at a young age.

Guide and Client wounded in Border Ambush

I am paranoid enough, I hate reading stuff like this. Hopefully the people recover. This is part of the reason I always run around heavy on ammo and often take a 2 legged varmint rifle on many of my hunts.
  14. I'll take the ruger mags assuming that is 30 for all 4.

    Sold, please delete thread.

Awesome tent. Glad you got it sold. I have a kodiak the same size and I love it.
  16. What head stamp on the 300 win mag brass, and how many loads on the cases?
  17. You shoot stout loads though. Some of those reloads you sent me look like they are pretty beefed up. My load is probably more comparable to a hot 25-06 or lighter 257 weatherby mag load. 100-125 of my round count is fire forming loads too that are lighter loads to form my cases. I use 7mm Rem mag cases mostly (and have use 264 win mag cases too) to make my brass.
  18. I love how people won't jump on board with a round because it is "barrel burner" but how many people have actually burned out a barrel? Very few realistically. I know at some point I will burn the barrel on my 257 weatherby, but I have probably 800 rounds down it sofar and it is going fine. If/when I burn out that barrel, that will be the first 1 I have ever burned out.
  19. I load for my 257 Weatherby with H1000 and 115gr bullets. I use 264 Win Mag & 7mm Rem Mag cases to make my cases for the weatherby. So I am not exactly shooting 264, but something close. My gun LOVES H1000 with Berger HVLD's. It will consistently shoot them sub-moa with the load I worked up. The gun also shot well with IMR4831, but not like H1000. Once I burn the barrel out on this rifle I have seriously considered a rebarrel in 264 Win Mag, but I do love my quarter bore... 264 win mag is a round that should be a monster especially in this day in age of the 6.5 love, but it still just doesn't catch on and I don't know why.

    Shout Out for Healy Arms!!

Very nice! I hate big box hunting stores. The pricing they have sucks. You pay extra for there overhead and the "experience". I hardly ever buy anything from Bass Pro or Cabela's. Local shops or at worst Sportsman's warehouse for my money. I have not been to Healy's but when I get to that side of the world again I am planning on stopping in. Everything I hear is top notch.
  21. Does anyone use one of theit IWB holsters? How do you like it? I had a Bladetech for years, but it finally gave up on me so I need a new IWB holster. Any other suggestions? I liked my Bladetech and the kydex in general because it held its shape if the gun was out and was a ton easier to register than my old Galco leather iwb holster. Harley

    Looking for old smart phone

Yeah they are amazing I am in the same boat. However food for thought, otterbox is lifetime guaranteed. If you call them as I did last month you can give them the serial number from your otterbox and they send a new one free of charge. The website says 1 year warranty.
