Safe in post tension slab
Hoss50 replied to Green Bullet's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Use the Simpson titan bolts as mentioned. 3" bolts will be plenty of grab. If you hit a able you will probably know it. I have hit rebar many times, and you always know when you hit it. -
I have run into them multiple times in 7E in December on the cow hunts. They are at the lower elevations of the unit when I see them, but it is still cold and they are still there. One herd had a chubby little dude bringing up the tail end of the herd when we ran them off.

I would look at the Toyo RT or Nitto Ridge Grappler personally if you want something more aggressive than an AT, but not a full blow MT. I had the Toyo AT's on my Ram 2500 Diesel last and wasn't impressed. They weren't bad, but not great either. The BFG's AT's I have now will get the same amount of life, and have way better wet/snow traction than the Toyo's did.

AZGFD's website says they still have a lot of leftover javelin tags. Go get some, you can have 2 as long as they are for different hunt numbers. I bought a HAM tag & general rifle tag for the same area. That way I can scout for the general rifle tag, and hunt at the same time during the HAM tag.

Custom .257 Weatherby Mag with Leupold VX 3 Scope 6.5 to 20 with Turrets

Super awesome rifle here. I love 257 weatherby. -
I had 3 buddies who tag souped that hunt too. My son's teacher and her family had 4 tags up there too, and only filled one. They got a unicorn spike bull over toward the 180 side of the peaks it sounded like. He only had 1 funny shaped horn.

Sportsman's avondale had all nosler reloading components on sale for 30% off. I imagine the rest probably have the same sale.

Last year in 7E we were worried about the cold weather freezing the water tanks on the trailer so we made a skirt out of duct wrap insulation that I bought at work. It worked really well. It helped keep the wind out from under the trailer and the heat of the day and the heat from the trailer kept everything from freezing.

check sportsmans. They have nosler reloading components on sale 30% off, and I believe they had 28 nosler in stock at Avondale when I was there yesterday.

My buddies in 7e had the same problem. They saw 1 cow elk in 4 days. No bulls. They saw 1 swinging in a camp and everyone else had seen nothing also. Sounds like a super tough year.

Wow. Stay strong and best wishes to you, your daughter, and your family. -
I have 3 buddies up there now who haven't seen anything either.

Can you buy a leftover tag over the counter for another person if you have there license? I want to head to azgfd to get a javalina tag for myself and my buddy.

I am planning on running my .38 Super on this trip. Maybe next season I will have a 10mm to run. I kind of owe it to my 38 super to bag one with it before I move on to a 10mm though. I have been in a couple super sketch encounters on deer hunts with javalina, and I almost had to use that 38 super in defense. Now I need to actually figure this out, and use it on offense.

I was about 15th in line at the north phoenix office this morning. I grabbed a 17B HAM & General rifle tag. Now I have to figure out 17B a little. I have never been in the unit so it will be a steep learning curve.

The 95 gr partition would work just fine.

I bought the Viper HD 15x50 last year. They are pretty nice. I looked at the vultras too but didn't want the extra weight. I have been happy with the vipers so far.

Probably a quick small lift kit from the from the previous owner to level the truck with a trailer on it. It isnt the worst thing, but not the best either. If you don't have bad axle wrap or don't want the rear of the truck lower leave them. Check the torque on the ubolts though just for fun.

Grimaldis Pizza hosting antihunting fundraiser
Hoss50 replied to BeardownAZ's topic in Mountain Lion
That is scary. What happens when the party happens to be the KKK or some other hate organization or controversial group. You basically show that you are supporting them by allowing them to book the event and taking there money. If you are not supporting them directly your are at least complicate in allowing them to spread there message by taking their money. If the Sierra club calls and wants to book a party are you taking their money? This group? -

I have a drop in style K&N air filter that was in a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins. I have a recharge cleaning kit to go with it. Price = Free, pay it forward, or trade for something cheap you don't need, I just don't need it.

Either shot would have been fine.
