I am looking for a set of 260 Rem. Dies and brass. What do you have?

Crispi. I bought a set last year, and they are awesome. I have the insulated Nevada boots.

The problem is how are you going to enforce the tag turn in program. Do you need a doctor's note to turn it in? Who is going to review the turn in requests. You can write rules on turning them. In, but good luck enforcing them.

I have 1/2lb of H4350 left from when I was using it in my 6.5x55 for load development. I think I am using H4831SC in it right now with the 135gr Bergers.

Seekins only built some Vortex rings, not all of them, and I am not sure they are building them any longer. I just ordered a set of Seekins 30mm for my dad's new rifle.

Worried about Barnes expansion...

I wish my swede would shoot those LRX's better. It hasn't liked the LRX's or Hornady GMX's I tried to feed it. Bergers though, it loves bergers... -
How many people are using spotting scopes during your hunts for glassing? I have a set of 8's and 15's I carry when hunting normally. I am debating on how much I need or would use a spotting scope. I know I would use it occasionally at the range, but I am not really sure I would use it hunting. Thoughts?

I have a set of vortex viper HD 15's. They are pretty good by my standards. They are not swaro but they work.

I am not a trophy hunter. I have not had a single hunt yet where I passed on any animal that was legal. Maybe someday if I draw a nice kaibab or bull tag I might get more picky, but normally any legal animal is going to be headed to my freezer.

I agree with this mindset, the thing I am always thinking is the sound of running the bolt, and also remembering to do it.

I have some money I have been putting aside slowly, and got a little Christmas money so I am seriously trying how to figure out what the best use of it would be. My 2 biggest thoughts are Spotting scope in the $500ish dollar range or a chronograph. I almost feel I would use the chrono more, but know I need to get a decent spotting scope too.

I have always carried with a round in the chamber because that is how I was taught. I am not saying it is right or wrong, but wondered what others do after seeing the "pro" hunters doing it.

The 2019 harvest probably isn't out yet. The ones in the regs were usually a year behind.

I thought of a few more from last deer season. We got all the way to Kaibab and when we parked to grab food a snack at Jacobs we realized we had a leak in the main water line under the camper. We tied some of that "flex seal" stick on patch tape. It worked if the area was dry, but it was wet and wouldn't stick. We ended up cutting pieces off the hose I use to fill the trailer with water to slide over the cracked poly water lines under the trailer and used hose clamps to seal the ends. My buddy also dropped his main rifle for the hunt and had to use the backup which is a 13lb 300 win mag with heavy barrel. It sucks to carry on sling because the barrel is so heavy it makes the rifle want to invert and go barrel down all the time, and it sucks. He decided to make a homemade safari sling to carry that pig with. He used 550 cord for the sling, and then covered it in more of the above mentioned water fill hose for the trailer for padding. It was ghetto has heck, but it worked...

What are your best creative improvised fixes out in the field to fix things? I have many under my belt, but this picture is the one from this year's elk hunt to get us all the way home from Young to Phoenix on our elk hunt. On a rutty rocky road I blew the carrier bearing/center support bearing in my driveshaft. Some tie wire doubled up kept the bearing in place long enough to finish the hunt, get the meat to the processing trailer, and haul my trailer back to Phoenix. An old Mexican guy i used to work with in Colorado taught me the trick to use a cordless drill and screwdriver to make twisted tie wire which is way stronger.

I have had many over the years in addition to the above which I had to do 3 times to this truck. Since the last elk fix, I replace the driveshaft with a 1pc so no more carrier bearing to fix... I have had to use 3 truck batteries connected together with jumper cables, and use those with a stick welding rod to weld a steering arm onto a knuckle to get a truck off a mountain. I have used a 25' tow chain to hold up broken transmission crossmember. We have used a speak wire as a throttle linkage in a VW bug. Etc.

"Who's chopper is this?" "Get to the choppa!"

A 96 is a 12v. That is an all mechanical sweet motor. The 99 though has 24 valve motor with electronic fuel injection. It is a good motor, but has more things that can go wrong. I loved my 98 with the 24v. I wish I had not traded it in, but it just wouldn't fit 2 car seats so it had to be upgraded. My 2005 is awesome. It has 221k right now and runs great. One day I will convince my dad to sell me his 2006 that has 100k miles on it...

My dad has a coffee can full of those non-crimped type blanks.

I have a few CZ rifles and love them. I have been looking at CZ shotguns now with the success I have had with the rifles. A used Browning, Beretta, SKB, etc is something to look for. Dont be afraid of 20ga. Shooting 20ga doesn't make you less of a man.

If I was anywhere near close to start a 6.5-06 project or 6.5 RPM project I would snap this up. I am just not here yet.

Does anyone have a good place near Payson to cut Christmas trees with the Tonto tree cutting pass? Just to be clear, I am 100% e-scouting, and I AM requesting honey holes for tree cutting. Thanks, Harley

My first solo kill was at about 32 years old on a cow elk. I had shot a cow elk when I was about 16, but my dad had already hit it and it would have dropped without my hit so it wasn't my kill.
