Fan clutches are easy most of the time. I did mine in my 2005 cummins a couple months ago. $225 part and about an hour to change. I had to rent a special wrench, but that is a free rental from O'Reilly. AC is harder because the system needs to be evacuated and recharged. Not horrible though if you can get someone to help with that part.

The air fryer is new this Christmas and is getting alot of use. Besides the Traeger it is probably our best multi purpose cooking machine.

I cant even log into the forums from google chrome anymore. I had to use a different browser, and half the time I get an error in th at browser on the site. When I refresh it usually loads, but chrome won't load anything.

Howa 1500 Prefit - Howage System?
Hoss50 replied to Hoss50's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
So far he has been very quick to respond, and helpful with info. He won't tell you his barrel blank provider other than they are well known and sought after, and that he has a non-disclosure policy with them. -
While researching a new barrel for my Howa 1500 I ran across a Savage style barrel system for a Howa. Has anyone used this type system before? http://mcgowenbarrel.com/the-howage/ https://criterionbarrels.com/products/howa/howa-pre-fit-barrel/ Harley

I sent them a message asking about what twist rates they offer in the 257 blanks as I want to get a 8 twist. I am really interested in this option to try and save some money on the rebarrel project I have coming up.
-
I am thinking I am going to stick with 257 so I can still say I have a quarter bore. I already have a 6.5x55 so I have something in the 6.5 flavor.

I think I need meets, but I hate coffee... I guess I will just suffer in silence with the caliber demons fighting on my shoulders...

Dang, before I posted this I had kinda talked myself into keeping it 257 Weatherby. Now 264 win mag is back on the table... Any others I should consider?

Top.

I am looking to upgrade the stock on my basic Weatherby Vanguard. Long action. I am looking for something upgraded like a Bell & Carlson Medalist, etc. Anyone have one laying around they want to part with?

Browning BAR mk3 heck's Canyon accuracy

My dad used to have 1 in 7mm mag. It shot well. The only issue with them is they are a little heavier than a bolt gun. -
Fred was awesome. I heard that him and Chuck have both passed now. I knew Chuck since I was a little kid when my Dad and I frequented the Camelback store. I went to the CC store occasionally, so I bet we crossed paths.
-
I was at the Camelback store in '01 and again in '02 I believe it was. Glen was the owner when i was there. I worked with Chuck and Bob B. and Dave H. Was the manager of that store for at least 1 of my tours.

Which az sportsmans and when? I worked for them too back in the day.

Any peeling paint? How is the interior? How many total miles?

Love me some Traeger...

Does anyone have a bore scope that I can borrow, or bring a rifle to you to look at the throat. I am concerned my 257 weatherby may be running up on its max round count. I am going to double check the scope and mounts and clean it really well, but I am afraid it might be time for a new barrel.
-
It is confirmed. The barrel is toast. I went to Axisworks today to get a muzzle brake for my dads rifle, and Eric checked it out for me. It has pretty severe fire cracking. Time to start saving for a new barrel, stock, and figuring out what caliber the next barrel needs to be....

I see alot of the hunting show guys chambering rounds when they see an animal. Is that normal, or do you carry your rifle chambered with the safety on? Is it creative editing on the shows to seem like they are being safer, or do they really carry empty chambers?
-
I am surprised this hasn't sold yet. I want it because it is a cool round and a good price, but I have no need for the rifle. Someone buy this!

They haven't gotten any new snow since Friday. We were up there all weekend in Flag and came back yesterday. I don't know about that road specifically though on conditions. Things were starting to thaw yesterday some before we left. Take snow chains if you have them. They help a ton in snow and mud if the roads are bad.
