Good question. I am thinking about heading up that way to scout for a Turkey hunt this weekend.

    Diesels in Valley

With valley emissions it is hard to delete trucks since you have to pass inspection. If you just use a tuner on a stock emissions truck you plug the filters faster, and those filters are not cheap.

    Online hunters safety

Hunters under 18 have to take the hunters safety course. At the end of the online course they get a certificate of completion of the online portion of the course. They are then required to do the field day to finish out the course and receive the final completion and get they lifetime bonus point.

    Sako S20?

Is anyone shooting one? Do you have any feedback on them? I saw one recently and even though I didn't need another rifle, I can't get it out of my head that I want one.

    Hotshot Trucking Company?

Does anyone own or work with a good local hotshot company in Phoenix? My company sells commercial air conditioners and we sometimes need equipment shipped, and I hate dealing with LTL trucks because of damage. We seem to be sending equipment to Flagstaff, Prescott, Show Low, etc on a more frequent basis. If you have some contact info please let me know. Thanks, Harley

    Berger Match bullets for Hunting

I have shot/been there with 6.5 cal 135gr Berger HuntingVLD on 3 cow elk and 1 mule deer with good results, but they are going slow. Estimated 2550fps muzzle, and most of the impacts were 120-250yards. Only 1 had an exit wound. Nothing went more than 20-80 yards. I have heard the target hybrid actually have a thicker jacket and might be better for hunting. I have also started working with all copper buckets. The last cow elk was with 165gr 30 cal Barnes TTSX. It exited and the cow died in 40 yards. If you shoot Bergers just don't shoot heavy bone on purpose IMO. Be good enough to put it in the pocket behind the shoulder.

    Double standard?

The last line of the story says he will not be cited. Maybe the department will do something, but doubtful. I am not a sure happy person, but the handler and police department need to be sued as they are the responsible parties for the incident.

    “Howage” rebarrel

Howa barrels are very tight I am told. The head smith at Axisworks who took the barreling my Howa said he has basically had to relief cut every one he has had to get off.

    Rifles For Sale Updated Prices

2 questions. On the 6CM, is the 9.4lbs scoped or bare? On the 25CM is the muzzle brake threaded on? I think I see the line, but I am planning on suppressing something. If threaded do you know the thread size and pitch?

    Arken Scopes?

Initial Review: EPL 4x16x44 MOA The scope showed up yesterday and I unboxed it this morning. Very nice overall on the packaging and feel, fit, finish. I took it with me to the range this morning but it was loose, not mounted to a rifle. I took a rifle with a Burris Veracity 3x15x50 to compare it too since that is about a $750-800 scope right now. I will say that after comparing them I do like the Arken alot and think it offers alot of nice features. I will also say that people who think the Arken is better than a $1200-1500 scope are not being honest with themselves. The Arken feels nice and sturdy and the adjustments are crisp and clean. I really do like the reticle in the scope, it reminds me of the MOA reticle I really liked in the 3x10 Nightforce SHV. The glass is nice and doesn't seem to distort even near the edges. That said the glass was not as good as the glass in the Burris Veracity IMO. The Burris is a 50mm, but the glass in it shows better/brighter colors and had a crisper image to me. The Arken EPL image was fine and I would not have had problems viewing and hitting target I don't think, but it wasn't as good. That said, the Arken EPL is a very nice scope for the price point I paid, and does punch above its price tag. I feel the glass is probably about the same as my Vortex Viper 6x24x50 HSLR roughly. The zero stop is very functional and the the turrets are nice. The reticle was very good was well for what I like which is a useful reticle that isn't to busy. Overall I think it is a very good buy for the money. I think it is probably worth something around the $650-750. Price range. I would love to compare it to a Viper 4x16x44 HSLR. I think they might be very similar. I am planning to put this on a .338 win mag so hopefully I will get a chance to put some rounds through it sooner than later.

    UPDATE, RECOVERED Ford F250

They tried to steal my buddies 7.3 SD about 5 years ago. The only reason they didn't get it was it was a stick and I don't think they knew how to drive it. That sucks OP. Sorry to hear they got it.
