Phil was first response. If he backs out I will move down the list. Thanks Harley

Electric impact. Milwaukee M18 Fuel will crush it, but alot of other will confine for normal people. If you want a PT for air, that is fine, but IMO electric impacts are super legit now. You can use the batteries on other things that are useful in the field too like sawzalls, grinders, drills, chainsaws, etc. I personally use dewalt 18v/20v stuff because I have a bunch of it from my contractor days. Milwaukee has surpassed dewalt on having the best cordless tools IMO. Dewalt used to be the king. Harley

Try Healy's. Depending what you are shipping you can send it yourself to an FFL dealer via UPS.

Go inside...?

203-204* and let it rest wrapped in towels. Time doesn't matter to me, temp does.

Sportsmans has had it most of the time when I was in there. Ince fired stuff in a bag i believe.

But the product is still built in China. I am probably buying a Yoder on the next go around because they are made in the USA.

Love mine. I leave a metal scraper in the bottom of the barrel that I use to break up the stuff in the grease trap drain, and break up the dust if needed. Then shop vac everything out when needed which isn't that often. The front mount tray is a must of your model didn't come with it.

So I have a 10yr old who has his first hunt in February for Javelina. I am thinking he probably needs a knife for Christmas. Recommendations? Part of me says old school Buck 110 like I got, but I never use it really. They do offer it in S30V now which is kinda cool though.
-
Ya, I am probably going to order a pair of them for my sons who are 7 and 10. I will have their names engraved on them and just keep my 7 year olds in the safe for a few more years. S30V blades and names engraved.

I am going to look around to see one of those. I saw them on the website, but have not seen one in person. They look smaller and more modern.

His grandpa bought him a small fixed blade fake stag handle knife from Turkey, but it isn't good. So I want to get him something he can keep and use for many years that will actually be useful.

I was looking at buck custom the other day and thought it was pretty cool. I might have them do a pair down the road, one for each of my boys. I do like benchmade too, I own a couple personally and they have been very good.

Thanks for this. I entered my son.

I am glad that Ram split off from Dodge and isn't Dodge Ram anymore. Now I don't have to be the guy haunting your dreams...😂

It appears that since AZGFD can't provide enough field days for children in Phoenix I get to take a trip with my 10yr old down to Tucson to take the class. We are probably going to come down a day early and do a quick guys day in Tucson on Friday, and take class Saturday. What would be something fun/cool to do with a 10yr old on an afternoon? Pima Air Museum? Any really good places to eat? Thanks!
-
Not to late yet, but the kid came home from school today sick so the trip is now in jeopardy of not happening if he can't get well in the next day or so.
-
That's the other problem. They have not restarted the class to train the instructors after covid. Alot of the old ones are leaving and nobody new is being trained.
-
They won't get the bonus point for the class until field day is finished.

I have a Savage 110FP in 300 win mag. It is a 24" long heavy barrel and the rifle is freaking heavy. It shoots well, but is a PITA to carry hunting. It is top heavy and doesn't sling well. I basically wouldn't carry it hunting as is, so what do I do with it? It has a factory Tupperware stock, Timney trigger, and giant muzzle brake to reduce the recoil. Selling it isn't an option. I already have a big 30 cal in a 300 weatherby mag also, so it doesn't have to stay 30 cal. I have thought about having the barrel shortened and fluted to save weight, but it would probably be the same price to get a new barrel. What would you do?
-
Alot of the problem is the balance. It is so top heavy all it does is try and invert on the sling. It also has a short box mag, so without single feed I am limited to standard OAL which makes loading big bullets difficult.

My son's tags and my tags showed up today.
-
I will do a review. I am planning to put it on a 338 win mag most likely.

Load data for staball6.5 and a 7-08
Hoss50 replied to Crazymonkey's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Brunos had Varget in stock on Friday. That would be a good choice too. I chose 6.5 staball to start since I find it more often though.
