The garage is not my first choice of locations but it sometimes is the only option. I had mine in the garage for 4-5 years with no issues. I keep desiccant containers in it to suck up the moisture of monsoon season. I never had an issue with the wood stocks but keep them oiled and you should be ok. Some of my dad's old military mausers have been stored in a safe in a garage for 10 years with no issue. Bolt the safe to the slab with good concrete anchors to help prevent theft. Also try and make it less visible so when the door is open it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Harley

All 4. Keep a small 2 ton floor jack in the truck and lift the tire up and put the chain on. Put two chain bungies on each tire. Once they are all on drive 50 feet and retighten them if you need to. Don't do the lay the chains out and drive onto them thing. It's a waste. Lift the tire up and put on the chain. Unless you are in super nasty stuff you won't need 4x4 with the chains on assuming you are using real chains not just cables. Real chains will limit your speed to about 25 mph though and you will find yourself trying to drive in the soft snow not packed tracks because it will ride better. I got my chains at discount tire in Prescott many moons ago. Tractor supply up in Wickenburg might have them or be able to order them in for you. This post is a good reminder. I need to dig my chains out for my run up to Colorado soon. I keep mine in a 5 gallon bucket for storage. Keeps them dry and easier to carry.

My son was like that when he was 1. He was a chubby dude but once he started walking he just started getting taller not much heavier. He was prob 32 lbs last javo scout hunt when I packed him around in a carry backpack for most of the scout. This year he prob 35-38 lbs but is prob 8" or more taller. He loves being outdoors which is awesome. I emailed the pic to myself so I will upload it later.

He is actually only 2 still but turns 3 at the end of March so he is closer to 3. He is about 38" tall. I am 6'4" and 300 lbs so I think he might be a slightly larger then average as he keeps growing.

If anyone has some 257 Weatherby brass they want to part with for a good price let me know. I currently form my cases from 7mm cases but would not mind trying real cases if they are a good price. I am really only looking to spend about $0.50-.75 each for them if you have good clean new, once, or twice fired cases. Maybe a little more depending on what you have. Thanks Harley

Are you looking for anything in trade? This isn't the time of year I have much extra cash. What loads are they? Harley
-
I have a fair amount of brass in MULITIPLE calibers. If you need a certain head stamp for your reloading let me know an maybe we can trade. I need: 30.06 Remington Head Stamp (once fired preferred) NEW 7mm Rem Mag brass Remington head stamp. I am open to whatever brass deals too, let me know. I have a bunch of once and twice fired 7mm cases I can trade for each new piece. I use the virgin 7mm Rem Mag cases to fire form case for my 257 Weatherby. I am located in a Peoria and work in Tolleson. Harley

and then.......

P.S. - I have a fair amount of other caliber brass I would be willing to trade for 257 weatherby brass at a closer to market value. Pistol and rifle brass. Let me know. I have a fair amount of the following I am willing to trade, most is once fired with multiple head stamps. 9mm .38 special .357 mag .44 mag .45 acp .45 colt .243 win 7mm rem mag. I have smaller quantities of other brass too that I would consider trading. Harley

Let me know on the 257 stuff if anyone backs out.

I will be using a 1911 in 38 super with 125 gr. winchester silver tip hollow point if the opportunity presents itself during my rifle hunt.
-
I just found it. I was looking on the hunting main page. Thanks

Where is the leftover list?

20A general rifle again this year. Hopefully I will have better results this year.

If you said I have to leave tomorrow I would take my .257 Weatherby with 117gr. Hornady BTSP. If I ever get drawn for a tag again I MIGHT look at other options in the 7mm Rem - 338 Win Mag arena but I don't have a load worked up for any of those options or enough practice with the rifle to be ready to go without notice. Even then I would honestly probably just start working on a 117gr. Nosler Partition load for my .257 Weatherby. It is on the lighter side of bullets I like for elk but it is the only rifle I am confident with out to 500 yards with right now. Harley

If anyone backs out of the 257 stuff let me know.

Double front original.

I always wear carhartt. They are super durable. The original brownish color are the ones that shrink the most. The jeans and other colors don't shrink as much. The double fronts are great and you can get slip in knee pads for them which is awesome. The only thing about them is they are heavy and on warm hunts they will make you sweat more. Harley

We got hit for our javo tag!

I bought one for my wife for her birthday last year. It's pretty fun!

Like a lot of people said. If you havn't been behind the gun practicing at 500 yards for awhile you have no business taking a shot that far on an animal. Its not fair to the animal when you make a bad hit because of lack of practice or skill. I have been working with my rifle and loads decently for almost 2 years and I still am only confident in myself and rifle to about 500 yards and even at that range it would have to be a good circumstance to take that shot. My goal for this rifle and scope though is only to be able to take up to about a 600 yard shot confidently. At this point I am confident to between 400-500 yards and I have shot hundreds of rounds through this rifle and scope combo. If you have no trigger time on the gun and the load then the responsible thing to do would be keep the ranges to about 300 and sight it in at 200. A 300 Win with a reasonable load sighted at 200 wouldn't be that low at 300 that you shouldn't be able to figure out the drop with a calculator and make a reasonable correction in your scope. Beyond 300 the bullets really start to drop and knowing what your rifle and round will do is key to taking quality shots.

So G&F got close enough to photograph but not tranquilize it.....
