Not really. Change the fuel filter, oil, and air filter. Maybe a new plug. Make sure you use Stabilizer in the fuel and if possible fill the generator up outside maricopa County when you are out so hopefully you can get non-ethanol fuel. Running it dry isn't a bad idea either before you store it.

Camping etiquette ( what's wrong with people ? )
Hoss50 replied to Crazymonkey's topic in The Campfire
We had it happen once years ago when it was just me and my wife with 2 dogs. We were way back in a good area and were by ourselves. There are dozens of camp site along this road for the next 2 miles, all empty. It was after dark and we are at the camp fire. Out of nowhere a guy pulls in in his mini truck with a shell camper and just stops with us dead in the headlights around the fire. He then jumps out and says something then pulls past us 30 yards, parks his truck and jumps in the back. He was an old er squirrely lookong dude. He is just outside of the firelight, so he can see us, but we can't see him. SUPER CREEPY. Like serial killer creepy. The dogs were not happy and neither were we. We packed camp very hastily and decide to just go home. We are working our way back to the highway, but we were 10 miles or more back in the Bradshaws. We had to go slow because we needed to stop near the highway to repack the stuff we just threw in the truck so we could get TF out of camp. A couple miles later, behind us we see headlights and we can't stay ahead of them, they are to fast. As they get closer I pulled off the side so they have room to pass, and I roll down my window. My wife was like WTF are doing rolling down the window? I said if I have to shoot someone a face full of my own window glass wasn't my first choice. Thankfully it was someone completely different. We haven't camped in that area since though... -

Older Leupold Vari-X III 6.5X20X40 AO scope for sale. Gloss finish, duplex reticle. It has some scratches, but works well. It spent all its time in my safe on a 22-250, so no heavy recoil. $350 obo

Hi All, I am contemplating getting a bow to take a shot at starting to bow hunt for OTC deer this year since I can't seem to get a tag. I am 6'3" with a broad chest and 78" wingspan give or take. I saw a rough formula online that said my draw length would be about 31.5". This seems to be at the ragged edge or just over the max length for normal bows. Do I need to get a longer bow? I would prefer to not spend all the extra money it seems like the longer draw length bows cost? Any recommendations on a good used bow or entry level bow that might work?

I asked this same question to them directly as well as way can't we have a class that we pay for to help pay instructors so we can get more classes faster. They said because of where the government funds come from to pay for the courses it is required that the class be volunteers. Otherwise they can't get the government funds for the program.

I think they update and add classes on Tuesdays or Wednesdays so keep checking.

Who has built one? My 11 year old decided that he needs an AR in 6mm ARC so I made him a deal to build one. He has to fully assemble the rifle (he loves legos) from scratch and we are going to do the research and build together. He also has to pay up and put some of his own money into the build. This is the basic plan right now I think, but am just in the beginning stages. Aero Lower (already have it) Aero Upper (ordered a blemished up for $50) Probably and 18" barrel with Keymo muzzle brake on it so I can easily put on a suppressor once it gets out of ATF jail. Adjustable gas block. rest is TBD. Who makes a good reasonably priced barrel for an ARC that wouldn't be crazy heavy or a budget Killer? Thoughts? Thanks Harley

The build has begun. I ordered a blemished Aero Stripped Upper (can't see any blemish) and it arrives today. Yesterday my son and I went to a local store that stocks some AR parts and he bought his dustcover and forward assist. He assembled the upper tonight with some help. My son has a javelina tag in October so hopefully he will be done by then. He is going to have to put in some sweat equity and earn some money to aquire more parts if he is going to make it. The cheap furniture will go away sometime, but since I donated my extra lower to him that's what he gets til he earns some $$$ to get nicer stuff.

You only have to have the online done first before the hunt. Get that done and the look for a class. He won't get the lifetime bonus point until the class is finished.

I echo that. No deer with kids or adults. We did draw sandhill crane though, so that will be something new

WTB: Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard take off stock
Hoss50 replied to nmurray10's topic in Classified Ads
If you don't find what you need stockys makes a carbon fiber model that is lighter, and Bell and Carlson makes some nice ones too. I found a blemished carbon fiber on stockys for $300 not long ago. It is .75lb lighter than the hogue long action stock. -
I wouldn't shoot ELDM at animals larger than deer.

I will take it if you can wait til next week when I can meet to pick it up.

Got hit for some stuff a little while ago.
