    Which Pack??

The new kuiu 6000 $350 3 lbs 9 oz with frame and suspension 3000 ci bag $89 12 0z bag only 1800 ci bag $69 9 oz bag only $510 you have 3 backpacks change out the bags utilizing the same frame and suspension. Not a lot of bells and whistles but super light. One of the cwt sponsors has a video posted about them.
  4. Lots of money raised last night. My only concern is that the same 3 people won all the raffles. Y es they dropped a ton of cash to do so but it runs off the first timers giving this club a try who will not be back. Very cool of Corky to give that kid the one of the 3 bows he won. Is there an auctioneer who knows about guns and hunting? Let's get one next time if they exist. Thanks Terry for a good time.

    Best one pin sight?

CBE, spott hogg, sure-loc. Get at a three pin and use the bottom for a floater...that 1 pin will bite you in the butt when you least expect it.

Signs you might be a D-bag

You have walmart sporting goods on speed dial waiting for 22 shells. You think youth hunting camps are stupid. My favorite.......You think you know everything because you are a CWT member.

    Broadhead tuning help please!

A basic question....Have you spun your arrows to ensure you have no wobble? If your broadhead isnt squared up on your arrow(proper insert seating) it is flying thru the air crooked. So many people just screw on bheads and start flinging. I spin check every arrow until all spin like a top. This usually requires switching bheads from arrow to arrow sometimes because they are not always true either. If you have wobble you can heat up and rotate your insert to get a better seat. Spine is a factor as well as timing. bad form (bow torque),cable slide to close to vanes....A lot of variables

    Bipod or Shooting Sticks?

My wife, daughter and father all used my triclawps this deer season with success. With that being said I have a harris bipod on my 7mm. I also had the triclawps attached. Long story I wound up on a boulder pile using one leg of the bipod and my X2 pack for my rest. It's all situation and preference. If you are a glasser with a big heavy tripod I say triclawps or if you pack a light tripod put a little shooting V of some kind...

    What Camo Do You Prefer?

Been a Predator fan for years..brown deception is awesome. That being said I wore core4 element in max-1 on my elk hunt and really enjoyed the comfort difference. Also have the open country and like its effectiveness. The mountain mimicry looks tempting when camofire has another sale.

    Which PSE should I get?

if its been that long i suggest shooting a few different brands...a lot of good stuff out there that might fit you better.not brand bashing just a friendly suggestion. Hit a few shops and shoot a few. If the guys are d!cks about it go to a shop that has real customer service and find what feels good on all aspects from grip, draw cycle, valley, let off, and what you will sacrfice from those for speed.

    Unit 20C

If anything it will have pushed some of the deer into huntable areas. Most of the burn was landlocked by private property and not huntable. I do know that some of the local firefighters that worked it came across a few skeletons of some deer that were trapped.
  15. I watched every you tube video there is on this head from bear to javelina, but there is no elk kills. If you have a success story or failure could you post some feedback please. I have killed elk with muzzys, but after personally swhacking a javelina in january I was very impressed. I will be shooting 70 lbs with a 480 grain ish arrow setup with a heavy FOC with the 2" head. I think I'm going to test this head on a beef hide with a beef scapula behind it for the just in case scenario. So any pros or cons from you guys would be appreciated. Not concerned about other b-heads just this one. Thx...Toby Update... They work pretty good.

What do you consider a big bull

This one is my 2nd archery bull ever(spike 2002). Not sure of score but I would not let him walk by if I ever get drawn again. Any guesses? We rookie scored it at 315 but no idea if we did it right. Don't really care he is big and going on the wall. Big is what you make it. I wished to break 300 but by day 4 I was ready to tag whatever crossed my path. I guess its all it's all in the eye of the beholder.Money or rez roid bulls do nothing for me no matter how big they are. Back to the question at hand I say 340 or bigger.

    a bigun

That makes more sense. Didn't look like a 16A elk from the hualapai mountains.

    Unit 20C

TOO many tags for the amount of private property. That unit needs to have 200 tags maximum per year and be shut down a couple years just like 42 needs to be. Like that would ever happen.

    Another toad hits the dirt

That kid needs a good lawyer....wait so does this guy for different reasons..
  23. what was your arrow setup, poundage and speed? At 32 yards I figured a full passthru. I still got holes on both sides. I think I drilled a rib center on exit.
  24. Update.....They work pretty good. 1inch plus going in and 2 inch plus going out. 70 yards dead elk. Recommend heavy arrow.470 grains and 32 yards produced 4 inches of arrow sticking out opposite side middle body with no shoulder contact.
