If you can find a used anderson hitch I would go that route. I have the aluminum version and am sold on it.

Something they choose to do and not forced to . Can't make your kid something they are not wired to be. -
new elites are on camofire for cheap lately.

TOBY replied to Jnj13's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
Quit posting pics where you hunt at. Looks like my deer campsite. I will trade some 4 blade muzzies for your shwackers. -
You 2 are gonna have to hug it out and become friends now.

I only put in for cow so no buddy stole my hunts this year.

A child is going to like hunting or not like hunting regardless of a tag. It starts with a bb gun and tweety birds. Slowly graduate to a .22 and plinking rabbits. Next a single shot to start ground swatting dove and quail. If you do good with all these dad will get a deer rifle for you and put you in for deer and pigs.(we were 14).If you show maturity and skill then move up to an elk tag. That was my upbringing. Not whore off someones points. stare at my phone while dad or guide does all the work. click click click click. Ok look thru the scope and pull the trigger. You are not teaching a kid nothing other than depending on someone else to do all the work while they do nothing. The above isnt how all kids are exposed to hunting but a lot are. No child or adult are entitled to any tag. If you draw it fairly great, if not suck it up and put in next year. A kid will have a killer instinct or they wont. Some will play sports or wont. Accept it and move on. You cant make a kid a killer or a jock. they will resent you for trying to make them something they dont want to be. Doing things just to make dad stfu is all they are doing. A lot of your kids are doing just this you just dont see it. Blanket statement not intended for any one person just whoever it fits.

Being legal does not make it right.

No ten year old should have bull tag or a rut tag...NONE
-
Left over tags every year. Youth hunts that fall after a general season opens are a joke for the kids. Put them in for a general tag and have better draw odds. And... make everyone pay the full price up front like the paper apps. Might slow it down a little. I never put other family members in for drawing tags. My daughter hunted deer and pigs every year she could til college. Next year she should draw a rifle bull tag....with her points just like we adults do. Pretty simple and not cheating the system. Might as well change a couple numbers around and get ebt and access too if your gonna cheat. You are taking something that isnt yours.... IE my elk tag.

Pretty sure thats the same one that went thru wickenburg that year.

Why settle for swaros when Vortex are so much better. Donate them to a youth camp or scout troop like mentioned. tax write off and make some kids day.

I love mine. Same frame but I got the apollo bag on clearance last year. great bag for day hunting plus has a meat shelf. Awesome bag. And a frame that fits you proper is an amazing difference.
