Good entry level 15's. Nice and lightweight.

Ha. Notice I am not the one with the tag...

I've always seen a couple trailers down in the wash just past the campground. You talking about around there?
-
Same to you.

We'll be in the same area, but we're not leaving until Thursday evening. Hopefully we'll be able to find a decent spot. We'll be in a Black F250 with a white popup camper.

Congrats! Where are the pictures?

Awesome!!

I'm helping out a friend next weekend down in 36B, and am planning to have to bone it out and bag it up immediately, or take it in to a processor. All this talk about hanging and weather brings up another question. What temperatures would you be willing to hang your animal and for how long?

+1 for suspend (Suspend SC), stuff is like a chemical weapon for all kinds of bugs including spiders, scorpions, etc.

190" coues killed in southern AZ?!?!?
kazpilot25 replied to GreyGhost85's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Fake. Pull it into photoshop and check out the area around where the two ears and the dirt all intersect. You can see where the ears weren't cut perfectly into the background. Also, the shading around the top of the snout isn't correct either. Go to like 800% zoom and you'll see what I mean. -
On Wednesday evening my Grandad passed away. He was a legend in Arizona for his work with bird dogs and bringing competitive bird dog trials to the state of AZ. He founded the Arizona Bird Dog Club, Desert and Southern Arizona German Shorthaired Pointer Clubs, NGSPA Region 12 Association, and the National Chukar Association. In 2009 he was inducted into the Bird Dog Association Hall of Fame. Besides his work with the bird dog community, he was the most amazing father, grandfather, and overall human being. He will be missed greatly. I love you, Grandad. Please pray for my Grandma and our family during this time of mourning.

I always like reading people's stories of hunting on the border and the weird, scary, illegal stuff they encounter. I really don't have anything too crazy that I've witnessed or experienced. A couple years ago down in 36B I was scouting and setting up a salt lick about a half a mile North of the border in some pretty remote country. After my buddy and I hiked in about a mile, and almost to our destination we got a very eerie feeling. We suddenly were surrounded by the strong scent of marijuana and just had a feeling that we were being watched. After glassing the hillsides around us, we heard some shuffling from an adjacent ridge and some soft voices talking in spanish. We didn't end up seeing anything or anyone, but my gut told me to get out of there. We laid down some salt, and hiked out. Never went back to check the area again, but man it was a creepy feeling. Let's hear your border stories...

Those are the best kind. Nothing beats a good 'ole fashioned campfire story the night before opening morning. Unfortunately I didn't get a tag this year, but I'll be helping a friend next week on the Nov. 7th 36B hunt.

I have the same jacket and pants. Love them!
-
Awesome stories everyone. Keep them coming.

That's a major bummer. Anytime I load up the night before, I make sure to keep my optics and guns inside the house and take them with me in the morning. I stress out having the high dollar items in the car.

The Suns been up for 4 hours, where are the pics already?!?

What they said… I'm dying here at my desk. -
I'd get some solid legs (I like the Cullmann Magnesit 519) for around $100, and get the 700RC2 head. You'd have a great setup for $169.38 delivered if you buy them both from BH Photo.

Wow. Great bucks.

CABELA'S CONSERVATION WEEKEND OCT 30- NOV 2 EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT
kazpilot25 replied to rthrbhntng's topic in Conservation Group Events
I've always thought this employee discount thing was a bit of a sham to get people in the door. It makes you think you're getting a deal, but they never tell you what the deal is. Has anyone used one of these discounts that can share what percentage you'd save? -
That is so cool!!
-
That's so exciting. I'll keep your family in our prayers.

Decent deal as you can usually find them for $169 with free shipping if you look around.
