I was wondering why they wouldn't just siphon it out. I guess it could be faster to just drill it.

Good luck to all the youth hunters out there. Can't wait to see some pictures.

At what age can you start putting your kids in to build up their bonus points? I have a 5 year old daughter and want her to have some good opportunities when she's old enough to hunt.

Oh man. I'm still 2 weeks out from my hunt. Hopefully they're talking again in 6A by then.

What a loser. -
I thought about that. I just figured it's a lot cheaper to buy a youth license every year than an adult license for someone who won't be using it. I guess I'm just a cheapskate.

That's what I figured, but thought someone might know for certain.

Hunting with an order of protection - Questions/Thoughts needed

These are my thoughts and I mean no offense. It seems to me that since you decided to have an OOP placed against him, you would be doing so because you don't want him to come around you (for whatever reason). That being said, why apply for the same hunt you know he will be applying for? I get it, you know the area and you will not let him take that away from you. Maybe you should have waited for things to cool down between you before you applied for this hunt again? That fact aside, I'd say that since you are the one that filed for the OOP, and you know he will be in a certain place, it's your responsibility to avoid that place he will be in. Hunt a different area and apply for a different tag next time. You filed the OOP, therefore you are the one trying to avoid him, not the other way around (I would assume since he hasn't filed for an OOP against you (that we know of)). Why risk certain confrontation if you want to avoid him so badly? Makes no sense to me. -
What method do you typically use for turkey hunting in the afternoons? I understand that early morning trying to catch them coming off the roost and going to water or feeding is the best best. But during mid-day, does it pay to get high and glass like on a deer hunt, or would it be better to still hunt hitting tree lines at different meadows?

You won't regret it. I got one from him last year. Fantastic calls!

It seems like the only way they get in trouble, is if they are caught in the act.

Quick question. For the mid November archery cow hunt there are 25 tags and 30 bull tags at the same time. So with only 55 elk hunters in the field, it shouldn't be too bad. Would I be better off sticking around the Williams corner or heading up to the Big Bo for that hunt?

Great article. Jared remains in our prayers.

What Lance said, but watch out for private property if you are lower on the slopes on the West portion. I've seen some very nice bulls in there.

I've had good luck every time I've gone in there with the service, good guys. Yes, prices may be a bit higher, but it's a specialty shop so that's pretty standard. They're not too crazy high of prices though.
-
Well 2 for Williams, and 1 for Big Bo. Hmmm...
-
What an idiot. It'll be hard to catch him, but man we can only hope.

I'm going to say no on this one.

Yep. 1000 posts seems to be the magic number.

I got the second hunt this year. Heading up 4/30.
