Just got back yesterday late from 4 days of camping up on the east fork. It was beautiful up there. Fishing along the East Fork was meh, although we saw G&F stocking the river on Friday. Big lake was hitting pretty good. The Black River where the east and west meet was by far the best fly fishing and an awesome place to escape. They were hitting pretty good on dry flies, mostly hare's ears.

I'm taking my family up there tomorrow and would like to get them into some fish. I'll be fishing the black river, and will be taking my 2 oldest daughters (5 and 2) to big lake and the Greer lakes for some fishing. Any chance you can shoot me a PM with what was working for you at the lakes? I'm hoping to get my daughters into some fish. My last couple times out I've completely failed them (granted it was at Lynx lake and oak creek so my chances were diminished to begin with).

Those Ruger American Predator's are an amazing value. Great accurate gun for $350.

But for someone with 5 points, buying someone with 22 points would put the app at 14 points. You can get some pretty dang good hunts with that number. Shoot, for that matter, if you only had 2 points (loyalty and hunter ed), you could get that app up to 12 points by sharing that that same 22 point person. I've started building my wife's points as of last year when I found out this was coming down the pipeline. I'll be able to hunt some half way decent hunts every 2-3 years with point building and sharing now.

I have the deluxe and got it from competitive edge on ebay. I made an offer of $500 and they accepted it. I would definitely go with the deluxe model.

I'm taking the family camping over Memorial Day weekend. Heading out Thursday after work. I'm trying to decide where to go, but I'm at a loss. Big Lake? Knoll Lake? Black River? Any other ideas? I want to do some fishing and want to be near water for the kids. Let me hear your suggestions.

I've had a couple different ones I've sold and tested, and they're absolute tack drivers. Heavy like stated, but great shooters. 140 AMAX is good in them. I just ordered a case of the 143 grain ELD-X Rounds from my distributor so we'll see how those shoot.

I'm taking the family up camping this weekend and would like to get my 5 year old daughter on some fish. I've struck out almost every time I fish Oak Creek. Can anyone point me somewhere to catch some fish up there?

So headed out and fished the areas where they stocked the creek. We could see about 20-30 fish in the water in the pools, but no takers. Tried everything from power bait, salmon eggs, worms, spinners, and a bunch of different flies. The water was crystal clear and beautiful. The fish were in there, just couldn't get them to bite. I have not, I was actually thinking about it, but we were camped up in Pine Flat and stayed up in the canyon most of the weekend. I'll have to try that out next time.

Honest question for you Trump supporters. What do you like about him? My concern with Trump is that we have no idea what we're getting. He has a very long history of supporting liberals and liberal ideas. Now he's suddenly running of the republican nomination and when asked about his past liberalism, just says I've changed. That makes me nervous. Don't get me wrong, if he wins the nomination he's got my vote, but I just don't trust his conservative (or lack there of) background.
