Casey knows what he is doing, I may even be able to convince him to make me some loads this year.

I gotta agree with blake, leave a note and see what happens. Blake and I did this a few years ago on a waterhole, worked together and both shot respectable bucks within a think a week of each other. I had a Treestand on a tank this last december, put up 3 days before the hunt, got there opening morning with no one around so I climbed up into it and there was a note and a chain and lock stating that this stand had been abandoned for a year. Had to cut the chain to get my treestand back. Daniel

Here is my opinion on this, in some ways it will be good for walking in and getting away from people, but its going to hamper the older/disabled population. I just hope they are going to be able to enforce these laws and not abuse them themselves. I see on the map that my favorite elk camp road is closed, but I will be more than happy to walk in, but will there be people driving past me. I guess we will see as it goes. Daniel

Hey Azhunter, ill take your 80 yard challenge. To reply to the op, the slick tricks are a great strong broadhead, also you should look at the shuttle t, wacem or the g5 striker, they have all shot great for me.

Its to good of a setup for ya casey

well its official, I can say im a traditional nut, been bouncing back and forth for some time now between compounds and traditional, but this past january I took a javalina with the recurve now im hooked. Even going so far as selling my compound(If anyone is looking got it setup ready to shoot for $200). Good luck shooting and hunting with it, its a blast. Daniel

Does anyone here make security boxes for your trail cameras, I would like to make a few and was just wondering how you guys do it. Thanks Daniel

I guess Im on the opposite extreme, I shoot an arrow just shy of 500 grains(497 grains). I have taken 3 elk with this setup, and one being a bad shot on my part, and I hit in the shoulder just left of the ball joint. My arrow was able to push in and catch a lung, which slowed the bull down and I was able to come back in and take a second shot and finish what I started. That being said I dont think a light arrow or mechanical broadhead could have made it through that section. With fixed blade broadheads you never have to second guess on whether or not it will open, as a fixed is always cutting. I like to shoot any of the good one piece 3 blades(montec, hellrazer, or snuffers). Daniel

That wasnt what he asked, There havent been any leftovers for the late hunt that I can remember, but there are sometimes leftovers for the hopi hunts which you can apply for and there is also the over the counter tags. Just a few options. Daniel
