Way to stick with it. Great buck

Was expecting photos like this. Thanks for the pictures. Will get everyone excited now that the draw results are out

Depends on the type of hunting you are doing. If you sit on the side of a hill and glass for hours and try to pick off a buck at 600 yds then you have time to deploy a bi-pod and get prone. If you are hunting a really thick area with brush and tall grass you might not have a tree or anything to rest on so you'll want shooting sticks. Personally there are times I use both and just deal with carrying around the extra weight. I've been using Primos Tall TriPod Trigger Stick and think it is awesome. Deploys instantly to the height you need it and is sturdy enough to use as a walking stick. I also mount my binos to it and use to glass from a sitting position.

I save mine as pdf and also print out copies and put them everywhere. Print them 1/2 size so they don't take up your whole wallet. I think I have one in every gun case, glove compartment and desk drawer in the house. I also email the pdf to myself so I can pull it up anywhere I am at on my phone. I also take a picture on my cell phone just in case. Never tried showing a game warden a picture of my license on my phone, but it might work?? I have no idea why they need the extra $5 either??

My cousin has been up in 24A from opening morning hunting solo. Ditched work Monday afternoon and headed up to help, but didn't see crap with the high winds. He has seen only does, Muley's and a couple spikes all week. -
Hit my CC on 10/25 but no update on AZGF yet. When do you think it will update? I'd like to know what Unit I'll be at chasing pigs

There are a ton on Craigslist if you search. I just searched "Coleman Cooler" and found quite a few from $5-$50.

Just finished up my mule deer hunt with my Dad in Northern NM. Had a great time despite the lack of bucks in the area. Dad shot a decent fork last hour prior to heading home. Sorry no pics. The area was hit Hard by the rains. There was evidence of every wash and canyon running hard with water. Every tank was full and the washes were still wet. While walking through one of the washes leading to a tank this track caught my attention. Kinda freaked me out and I only found two of them. I know what it looks like but it doesn't make sense. The area is private land and this tank was up on a Mesa behind locked gate. There are also natural gas wells all around the area. There is no reason anyone would be walking in the area unless they were herding cattle or hunting.

Using the deer track as a size reference it looks like a womens size 7 to me. I also counted what looked like a distinct 5 toes.

I'll be flying next Friday for my out of state Mule deer hunt. This is the first time I've flown with my rifle and I got a great deal on a new Plano Bone Collector Rifle case. After laying out my rifle, ammo, tripod, knives and accessories I am quite impressed. My problem is I can't find any TSA approved locks that fit this case. The small luggage locks I have are too small. I found some TSA cable locks that will fit, but they look like I could cut them with nail clippers. Who sells a pad lock size TSA lock locally? I've checked WalMart, Target, HomeDepot, Lowe's and the luggage store in the mall. Should I just use the cheapies, or not even worry about them being TSA?

Any updates on these youth hunters? Hope they had a good time

I bought the rifle case equivalent to this case from the same guy on eBay. Great deal and great seller. Got case in 3 days. I would guess the bow case is just as nice. http://m.ebay.com/itm/331016463322?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1

The dial padlock was just for a size reference. You can also have ammo in your case as long as its in original package and not in magazine. I have a 730am SWA flight so I'll be getting there extra early. The picture of the Masterlocks with cables have the TSA keyhole.

Not sure if this might be the same bull, by my buddy had his family camping at Woods Canyon a couple weeks ago and had a bull stagger thru their camp with an arrow sticking out its neck. He couldn't get to his phone fast enough to take a pic. 23N isn't that far from that.

Applying for the upcoming javelina draw- any downside being under the old license regime?
Norteno replied to AndrewJ's topic in Javelina
I haven't got my 2014 AZ license yet, but if it is like other home print licenses you can print the license out 1/2 size. You can still read it, but it is half the paper you need to fold it up to put it in your wallet. -
Holly crap! I looked this up and you weren't kidding. $30k plus guide fee.

Sorry, one of my pet peeves and thought this was funny. Make sure the chile you get is from Hatch, and not from Mexico.
