Questions About Hunting Locations/Rules in Arizona
Norteno replied to EverythingWx's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
You need to stay out of parks and golf courses and be 1/4 mile from any populated structures. Although it would be nice to call the cart girl over to your blind if you get thirsty! -
Another note of caution on the cheap Igloo. Take care with the threaded drain plug. If you whack it, it will break pretty easily. You can order a replacement but they're not cheap. Ask me how I know that. Super glue fixed mine.

After a 45 minutes drive in traffic to get there and dropping $100 in raffle tickets I left early. I didn't participate in most of the raffles as you had to be present to win and that would have drug out till 930+. The Cabelas camping equipment raffle would have been awesome to win. Both Badlands packs started out cheap in the silent auction but towards 8pm the price went up near retail. The popular items looked to be the Yeti coolers. Ross Outdoors had both the Kaibab 20x56 and the Vulture 15x56 on tripods to check out. Arizona Wildlife Designs had an awesome Bull Pedestal and some nice elk racks on display. Trailhead Outdoors and No Limits Archery had good displays. Food was pretty good for $5. Other than that, I thought it was a really poor showing by most vendors. Overall, the seminar itself was great and thanks to Desert Christian Archers for putting it on.

Really cool. PSE donated 100 bows to all the kids here! Great start.

There are a couple Yeti's on Phoenix Craigslist where you might be able to get a good deal. Unless you are going to be away from civilization for a week in the desert just go with the 165qt Igloo. It's bigger and considering the price difference ice is cheap. ....my 2 cents

Where are you located? How are they fletched? 28-in from end of arrow to nock? PM Sent

+1 for the Badlands. I did some trail running last week up to Chrystal Point and took my binos so I could use them for the view from the top. The binos in the badlands did not bother me at all and were very secure. When hunting I clip my rangefinder to it and it works great.

Where exactly would one fish for Cats on the Lower Salt? I've caught trout and bass in the winter months at PhonD and Blue Point. Maybe lower towards the Dam?

Great write up Keith, congrats on the bear and good meeting you this morning at Paseo Vista Kevin

Your better off shed hunting in the trails behind the lake. Our friends have a cabin on Raintree and I've fished it twice with no bites. I heard one of the locals fishes it every day almost and will occasional pull out a pike. There was about a dozen people fishing it in the rain over the 4th weekend but I'm not sure if they had any luck. Beautiful area

I thought you were selling the bow for a rifle setup? Or do you still have your Hoyt package for sale?

Where you located? How much RAM on the laptop? What processor?

That's the trigger stick he currently uses. After the first time out with it the legs are sticking already. They don't move smoothly up and down so I have to bang them on the rocks to close. I was disappointed with them after spending over $100 for them. Maybe I just need to clean them up then. Thanks for the input. It is hit or miss with the Primos Trigger Sticks. A lot of reviews on Amazon quote the same problem you are having. I use the tripod version and love it, never had a problem. It is sturdy enough to use as a walking stick and you can adjust height in a second. Best solution, put The Claw on top of the trigger stick and walk around with it at your desired height.

Saw this on ebay and the listing closed, so I guess it sold. -
My buddy guides for an AZ/NM outfitter in NM Unit 12. May want to give them a call or look at their webpage. They are not sponsors here so I'll send you their info IM

Think these guys were halfway up a tree when they spotted a Sheriff Car in the neighborhood and booked it?

No way, the mobile version is great for just browsing. If I want to post or add photos I scroll to the bottom and switch to the full version. I use tapatalk for Archery Talk and hate it

Looks like Pentax warranty is right up there with Vortex and Alpen. Those binos got pretty good reviews too. Good luck with sale

Great bike. I grew up riding a 1993 XR100

Got a decent rain for the 4th and got rained out while on the 3rd tee today at Munds Park. Lots of lightening too though.

We want to see the video! Is it still out there somewhere else? -
You have an Archery Elk Tag! Can't be as excited as those of us that don't. My guess they hit cards July 18
