I had a plan to sit an active tank in 37b on Saturday too, but the rain blew that idea. I'm going to give another week or two. Good Luck to you

My good friend decided to go try shooting a .50cal the day before he had family pictures. He sent me a pic that looks just like you. Man, his wife was pissed

You work at BofA? I live right there. I wish this were an Elk Decoy. Good luck with sale

Straight off the azgf page..... Elk The elk season is closed within ¼ mile of an occupied residence or building within the Flagstaff corporate limits. With the implementation of the USFS Travel Management Rule, motorized retrieval of elk is not allowed on Coconino National Forest lands. Overview: Elk occur throughout Unit 11M the entire year. Remember that elk permits are issued specifically for and are restricted to Unit 11M (NOT Unit 7, Unit 7 West, Unit 7 East, Unit 6A, Unit 6B or Unit 5B). Be sure you are familiar with the unit boundaries before going hunting.

I'm playing around with some Cut on Contact Gravediggers. No matter how loose I set the screw I can't get them to deploy in my foam target (Black Hole). They just tear right through it. Will they not deploy in a foam target? Is there a trick to setting the blades? This is at 40 and 60 yds. They are also noticeably louder than anything else I've shot. This is what is sticking out the backside of my target

By this time next week I hope to have a Desert Muley down with my Bow! Hopefully all the stars line up and I have a little bit of luck on my side. Please no more rain! -

I replaced my tile floors with wood, and the tile came up really easy and clean. I was able to salvage quite a bit of tile and don't really want to toss it. I wish I had a project for it, but I already have too many projects. If anyone wants it, it's theirs. If you want to give me any money for it I'll donate it to Amanda. There is small amounts of grout on a few pieces, and hardly any mortar. 16x16 tile. 102 tiles (181 sq ft). Located near Chandler/Dobson.

Looks like an awesome buck was taken in Northern NM Unit 2b. It sounds like the Governors tag in NM is a raffle, not an auction. Pretty cool for the Hunter. http://www.daily-times.com/four_corners-news/ci_27061074/farmington-man-bags-232-inch-mule-deer-buck

Anyone else see the wannabe firefighter get schooled by a girl in the Dr. Pepper halftime tuition football toss. Just about as sad as the UofA performance. Haha

Pretty cool, nice find Clay. Do you have any more pics zoomed out a little bit farther? 😀

The reason for someone to not tell the truth is to manipulate harvest rates to make it easier to get the tag again. You harvest, but you say you don't. The harvest rate reported is lower than actual, less people are willing to put in for hunts with lower harvest rates, you therefore would have a higher chance of drawing the tag again for yourself. This would cause many other problems of course, like the department having bad info, making bad decisions from bad info, potentiality leading them to changing the hunt, decreasing tags, etc. etc. A great example would be 16A archery elk. 4 tags, a bad survey would throw results automatically by 25%. I always fill them out online. Takes like 2 minutes. I don't want the department, or myself, to have bad information about the hunts going on in our state. You report that you did not harvest, then azgf shows up on your doorstep and finds a nice pair of antlers. Now you are not just giving bad information - you are a poacher! You list that you did harvest and you actually didn't, then less tags and better game population. "like the department having bad info, making bad decisions from bad info, potentiality leading them to changing the hunt, decreasing tags, etc. etc" What do you think they do now? Filling out online reports is a lot cheaper than conducting aerial surveys as well. As with anything that deals with statistics, the more information you have the better.

These should not be optional random surveys, but everyone who draws a tag should be required to submit their Harvest Report after their hunt. You don't submit your Harvest Report, you can't apply next year. This would be another souce of data for AZGF to use when determining tag numbers. I really don't see a reason anyone would not tell the truth on the mandated harvest reports.
