I've seen this done where guys are shooting 200-300 yds for show only. Your also losing arrow speed with that second peep on your string.

Just thought about this, but you don't store your bow in the garage or in your vehicle do you? I've seen D350 limbs delaminate and crack due to heat.

My main concern is packing out your meat and getting cooled in time. I'll be hunting with my Dad, but I'm worried about the heat and losing meat. I'm sure someone on here would jump at joining you for archery elk.

I had to figure this out prior to buying mine. What sold it for me was the shorter size and lighter weight of the new HD's. IMO you can get older (light green) SLC's for $1400 and newer dark green SLC for $1500. eBay price for these is a lot higher.
