That bug bite causes EHD. It doesn't hurt humans. At least it has never been found to hurt humans. We should be good. You see a lot of EHD in the east when there is drought. Whitetails drop everywhere. It sucks seeing the bucks you have been watching die weeks before season starts.

The cows were going crazy in Unit 8 a week ago. They had three smaller bulls worked up pretty good in the morning.

I have gotten out twice and have seen a lot of animals. I have started to make the hit list. No pics yet. I tried taking a few but they were all blurry. I'm getting pretty excited. I think I have a good chance to get a nice buck.

I drew my first ever buck tag. I have shot a few doe in Wyoming but never a buck. Recently moved to AZ for work. Don't know anything about the unit or what to expect.

I was up there over the holiday weekend and saw almost 70 antelope. There were 3 or 4 bucks that had my interest and one of them stood out among them all.

Thanks everyone. I plan on getting 4 or 5 scouting trips in. Just wanted an idea of what I might see. Planing on my first trip out this weekend.

I'm not expecting a world record out if this hunt but a respectable buck would be nice. Anyone know what unit 8 could potentially offer.
