I have a pair and love them. Only issue is the weight. I subsequently got some of the new lightweight ZEISS 8x. I'm hesitant to use them so they stay in the case while I use the Genesis as I already scuffed up one of the lenses. They get thrown in the back seat for immediate use. I had to drill and tap the center barrel to accept a tripod adapter. Did they start making them usable with a tripod adapter? Good luck with the sale.

How heavy is this to carry into the field?

Were they just too stiff or why did you not like them?

Ignoring the jerk who posted the spam/scam, I have recently obtained a Rascal for my grandsons and had some comments on your quest. I could not find locally one except the target version which was more expensive. The plain jane ones are so inexpensive. The used prices don't seem to be much different than the new ones. Note the gun is like a one or two year gun as those kids are growing so fast at the age. They don't seem to be all that satisfied with one shot! 😄 The used guns also don't seem to come up often, but who knows. Seems like a lot of gun shops are carrying the new ones now. The trigger on the Rascal is exceptional compared to the others. I have seen people making stock extensions via 3D printers -- that is a great concept, but they cost 1/3 to 1/2 the value of the gun -- that might extend the life of the gun for the young hunter. I love this gun.

I liked mine but you cannot get parts for them. That would have been a deal breaker if I had known.

short on updated pics, you slacker!

How did your daughter do with the weight of the shotgun. My grandkids are getting close. My son was a peewee 10 yr old and had trouble lifting any shotgun but this little, short savage single shot. He grew really quick, though.

That is why we have Buck.

You need to update the pics before you send them all away to their new homes. PUPPIES! PUPPIES! PUPPIES!

If you come down for pick-of-the-litter, I bet we could find something to trade.

After a few hours I did not have any issues. I just had coughing and sneezing. The javelina were more scared of the noise. I walked over into the wash where I sprayed several hours later and started coughing again. I then decided Bear Spray was absolutely the LAST resort. One old wise cuss taught me that handguns were only used to fight to get to the long guns. I guess the bear spray is used to get to the handguns before that.

"Spray over your head and play dead" ... you are going to wish the bear would kill you and get it over with while you are choking and coughing from spraying over your head. I realize you don't get to plan for the wind in a real-life situation but when I tried out the COSTCO Bear Spray on some pesky Javelina, I accounted for the wind and still had quite the reaction.
