This bull looks like the bull pinedonky was asking about in unit one. What a great bull.

It's a hermaphradoe!

I just upgraded all my kids bows this year and have a browning micro adrenaline. 25-40# and 18-28" fully adjustable. Has true glo sight and a whisker rest. Probably needs a new string but it's not bad. I'm in queen creek so not sure how to get it to you but your welcome to come get it. PM me if your interested.

So what 2 units are better than 13a?

I have a fence company that makes these gates all the time. I don't keep any used ones around. Most of the time there messed up and go into the dumpster but can make you one for the price I sell to all the builders. Been in business for 20 years in the valley. PM me and when I get back on Monday from hunting I'll take care of you.

I live in QC and will take them if there not sold yet

How about a new in box savage 111 .270. I won this at the last AZ elk banquet.

I have a double bull and have replaced the aluminum ball inserts twice on every hub. Kinda upset with the whole thing. Great blind when it's up and working but always fixing it. Primos knows there's a problem and sends you the parts for free but still a pain. Mine is 3 years old so maybe they fixed it on the new ones.

I haven't been up there for a few years but during the archery hunt we saw some big bucks in the burnt corral area. We bought the key to the kiabab water hole map and it was a ton of help for us. We looked for water holes that were as far away from the nearest road and set up on those because there was a stand or blind on every single water hole we looked at. That time of year there up in the higher areas and there are deer everywhere. Good luck!

So do you have any of these left?

I was in industrial metal supply today and was looking at the plasma pieces they were selling and a cut out about 1/3'rd that size was 40 to 50 bucks for 16 gauge. What gauge are your pieces? The 40-50 dollar pieces didn't have the detail of yours either.

Last year was awesome. Best time I've ever had hunting in my life. Last year there was still some closed areas behind big lake. It was nice because not to many people were walking in. We'll be in a different area this year because there are roads all over that spot. I just hope it's half of what lat year was.

I'll be there! Can't wait. Two years in a row. Unbelievable! I hope we get some good moisture up there and the wheat comes back.

Ok so if you have a youth HL can you put in for youth hunts and general hunts on the same app?
-
Ive always put my kids in for the youth hunts and now days it seems a lot harder to draw. So this year I was going to slit it up. Thanks for the info.

The first round of the draw is for the bonus points. 20% of the tags goes to the highest bonus point holders. 10% to out of state. After that the bonus points go out the window and it's strait up luck of the draw for the remaining 70% of the tags. So it's better to be lucky than good. As far as 27 goes if that winter wheat comes back in the burn area it will be a great hunt. I hunted unit one last year and it was the best time I've ever had.

Best Mexican Restaurant-they didn't do their research!

I know this s off the grid a little but the El Camino in St Johns is the best. I like the popcorn butter on the chips at El Rey in Miami. Oh yea and Chili Pepper in Yuma is really good to. -
I have hunted unit one my whole life. I had the archery tag last year and have it again this year. Don't really need the meat but would be willing to help you out in exchange for help with a late 6a rifle bull tag for my son.

5b south youth cow in 1992. Unit 1 archery bull in 2000, 2002, 2012, and 2013 My oldest son drew a youth tag at the age of 10 and didn't draw another youth tag. He is 18 years old now. This year we put him in for regular hunts and he drew a late 6a bull. I also have two more boys that are 15 and 13. They've been trying since they were 10 for youth hunts with no luck. Now that my 15 year old is a freshman in high school and plays football and baseball not sure if he'll have time to do it right. I'm going to start putting him in for premium hunts only. In other words buying a bonus point.

Me and my buddy went through this last year and we thought it would be better with the head mount, but after trying it out we figured the best way to get the best shot was on the bow. For one it was hard to turn it on wile on your head. You would have to take it off and make sure it was on and there was no time for that. Keep it on your bow so you can make sure it's on and working. When your hunting your bow is pointed at them anyway. I lost some good footage because I thought it was on but because the scene happened so fast I couldn't take it off to make sure it was on

I think the system is ok the way it is. It's still luck of the draw no matter what. And if you have 15 points you should have a better shot of getting a tag. Sounds like 9 bull tags in 27 years is pretty good luck to me. I've had 4 in 25 years. I drew in 2000, 2002, 2012 and 2013. I only put in for premium archery tags. I also have kids that have been putting in for junior hunts for 5 years now and never drawn a single tag. So it all comes down to luck of the draw anyway. I don't have a problem with the system.

So if you drew that hunt on a 3rd choice it's got to the Hopi hunt. I'm curious about those hunts. Let us know how that goes. Good luck.

We drew archery bull in unit one last year with 12 points and drew it again this year with two points. We shot some nice bulls last year. Cant imagine this year being better than last year but we'll see. My son also drew 6a late rifle bull this year. Feeling really lucky right about now!
