Glad to here some of the post about the show saves me a huge trip. I was going to make a four hour trip there, but after some of the comments I will save it for another weekend. I will bring the wife & kids & they can go to the mall while I go to Cabelas & Sportsman Warehouse. Bass pro is alright but not compared to the other 2

Anybody know anything about the vortex vulture hd 15x56 vs the vortex Kaibab hd 15x56? The vultures are a lot less money than the kaibabs. Are the vultures inferior to the Kaibabs? I have read the specs on both binos and there are some diffrences. For the price of the vultures they seem like a good deal, or are they crappy? I want to buy new binos, and get the most for my money. As far as clarity are the kaibabs that much better?

Willie, Thanks for the input & advice I appreciate it. I just want to get the best bang for my hard earned cash & want to be sure I am making a solid purchase I won't regret later. I figured there was a trade off with the price difference on both binos. Sometimes you can get lucky though & not spend an arm & leg, but not very often, & you usually get what you paid for.

Thanks for all the feedback guys I really appreciate.

Ok guys I have a pair of Nikon monarchs 10x42 They work great. My question is this I want to either get a pair of 12x50 or 15x50 vortex viper hds & use these instead of my spotting scope with my 10x42s. The vipers would be on a tripod. I like the spotter, but it gives me a headache after awhile. My thought is the bigger binos will give more eye relief. Any thoughts?

Wdenike, Why do you suggest the 15x56 over 15x50? I want to make the best purchase for the money so just curious as to your reply. Thanks, Erik

Toyo AT2 great tires, quiet, smooth riding & nice tread pattern. I run them on my f-350 4x4. I used to swear by BFG, But not anymore the toyos at2 are rated for 60,000 miles which is awesome for an off road tire. They have been on my truck a year & have zero wear.

Hey guys just wondering what your thoughts are on this unit for rutting bucks this time of year? I have hunted this unit quite a bit for elk & deer, but not in January. Any good this time of year in the lower elevations or should I continue my efforts in the desert? We hunted 16a January 1st thru the 5th for javis & deer but no luck. Thought I might try something different for deer before the season ends. Any input will be appreciated thanks.

Magpul Dynamics ditches Colorado, moves to Texas and Wyoming

I used to really like Colorado, but I would not set foot in that state again nor would I hunt it!! place is as bad as communist California which I hope to be out of soon!!! -

I am a nonresident & have been hunting & applying for tags in az for the last 6 years. I think the cost of the 2014 combo license is a good deal. I never fish when I am there, but now I can for a tiny fee. The cost of tags is a little hard to swallow, but fish & game need to make money to manage the states resources. Check around in other states, and you will see az is not out of line its the price you pay to hunt. If you brown bag your lunch everyday & save all year as I do than the money is there for hunting. If you don't like the prices don't buy the license nobody is forcing you.

Ruger M77 .223 - Stainless - LOOKING TO TRADE
goinhuntn replied to deserttacoma84's topic in Classified Ads
How much would you sell it for? I have a ruger m77 30-06 with the same stock & stainless barrel. It would be nice to have a matching cousin rifle to my 30-06. -
Hoyt Carbon Spyder? Mathews Creed?
goinhuntn replied to fisher_hunt's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
You should give the Hoyt faktor a try! I shot the the carbon spyder the Mathews creed & chill & the faktor. The faktor felt just as good as the spyder, but a lot less money. -
trophy ridge react. dial in the 20 yard pin. Then dial in the 30 yard pin and it automatically sets the 40, 50 & 60. No tools needed to dial in the pins.

+1 6anut deer look nothing like elk and for anyone to make that mistake has no business being in the field let alone carrying a weapon.
