I buy my license online every year & have it dated for January 1st & never have issues with license not being valid for any of the draws!!

Question for you guys that really know the draw. I have 6 points going into the draw this year & wanted to know if I should put the hunt i really want as first choice or second choice. I don't have max points to draw early archery which is what I really want, but i have enough to draw late rifle. I am a non resident & have drawn 2 late rifle tags for the unit I want, but I really want a early archery tag. I think I know how im going to put in just wanted some thoughts or opinions. I should add the unit i am putting in for is a pretty popular early archery unit.

I guess I should clarify a little better. I am only putting in for 1 specific unit based on gohunt odds early archery is 5% late archery is about 40% & late rifle is 98% with 6 non resident points. I really want to draw early archery, but its along shot, should I put early archery as 1st & 2nd choice than late rifle 3rd & so on? I don't mind drawing the late rifle hunt, but i don't want it as my first choice would rather draw archery. hope this makes sense. In the past i have put early archery as my first 3 choices, but was told I am wasting my choices.

Just wondering what anyone thinks which is the better choice of the two? Looking at getting one in a 308. I have researched them both & like them both. I am leaning toward the Ruger, but they are hard to find right now. I like that the Savage has a 300 win mag available in this model, but the Ruger doesn't that is why I was looking at 308. Any thoughts appreciated. This will not be used for hunting, it will be used for target shooting only. I know I could build a custom rig, but these are priced pretty reasonable & supposed to good out of the box. Just want some opinions from somebody that has shot one or both.

You will be happy with vultures for the price you cant go wrong. I love mine & have no regrets about buying them. Others will tell you that you will have to use the warranty cuz they are not swaros, but big deal if something happens the warranty will cover them. I know the glass is not the same as swaros, but these are great for the money & they were what I could afford.

We hunted rifle deer in 8 this year & we saw 1 decent bull & a herd of 17 with 3 spikes. When we were there for archery deer in august saw lots of elk everyday. They go deep in the nasty stuff this time of year.
