dbcooper you might be on to something. Unfortunately, over time people will start to understand the wisdom of your actions, and it will only be a matter of time before a new group of obsessed trophy hunters engage in overly agressive and unethical actions to harvest the smallest legal game.

Very interesting "the parties" would not include the man who lost the opportunity to retrieve the bull elk he shot. The man who started this post would not be one of "the parties". So everyone is critized for not wanting to push something like this under the rug, are accused of speculating and saying things without first hand knowledge, and now it is acceptable to speculate about how and why Stan misrepresented the facts, by using a rather interesting interpretation of the phrase "the parties". Yeah reminds of the time our country was wondering about the defense someone use when they asserted that all words were inherently ambigious, in the famous phrase:"what is is?"

Dave My point was that Stan had represented that he had spoke to both parties and that they had essentially asked him to request that this entire thread be removed or deleted. However now Craig has confirmed that he had no such conversaion with Stan and made no such statement or request. Really does not matter what the other party has to say about that, it appears clear Stan, for some unexplained reason, was misrepresenting the facts.

Well I was typing as Carig was posting. That certainly answers my inquiry, and really calls into question Stan's prior representations.

Another thought, Stan with all due respect, if you talked to "both sides", and they both truly want to have the thread deleted, all they would need to do is to make 2 posts to this thread. One from Craig and one form the other side, very simply stating that upon further reflection they both are asking the thread be deleted. Why hasn't that been done? Craig has made posts on this thread and he has not confirmed your request purportedly made on his behalf. I just don't get it.

Donnident That was perfectly said. I do not understand why it is wrong to have this type of issue discussed in this format. Why should we want to condone a sweeping under the rug of such an incident. What if DBLUNG recovers a 400 type bull this year. I would like to know the complete story behind that. I would like it to be confirmed it is not the Bull Craig shot. I would like confirmation provided by Craig and his guide, who I am sure can describe the bull in detail. Should we not as a commnunity shun those involved with such unethical practices? Again, if we as a community cannot engage in this type of a debate, in a forum such as this, and instead support the idea of sweeping such matters under the rug, well we will deserve what we eventually get.

Craig my guess is that part of the story will never be told by "the BowTech Group". If their hunter ends up with a 400 type bull, you can bet they will say it was not yours.

Wondering how it's up in 9?

From what I understand, very very wet and muddy!
