So a long time buddy of mine from back home, the original cheese state of Wisconsin, wants to try his luck at hunting coues. He will be a nonresident applying for a tag next year. He would like to have a decent chance of drawing an area with good quality, knowing as a nonresident that is not at all an easy thing to do. So any advice on units I should recomend he put in for as a nonresident? He wants to hunt with his rifle, and intends to get it set up for longer range shots than he is used to having in the home state. Thanks in advance for you input.

Wow, I guess those cave bulls can get to be Toads!!! Congrats!

Now that is a really cool hunting/family story. Congrats all around!

At the risk of being accused of being someone I am not, and I hope I am wrong, but I have a feeling the departure of Richardoutwest and couesnaz is all part of a forthcoming nonresponse from DBLUNG and the Bowtech group. I have the feeling that if any response is ever provided, it will explain how the group does not agree with Craig's report of the incident, how they have plenty of information and a story to tell to the contray, but after seeing all this stuff on the net, and after talking with the other side, have determined that they do not want to participate in an on internet debate, so they will simply have to accept the fact, as either couesnaz or Richardoutwest stated earlier, "the parties to the event know what happen and that is all that really matters." Again, I hope I am wrong. I hope the promise of a full report of the other side's story is told. But I doubt that will ever happen.

Thursday, so we should be getting the Paul Harvey reoprt, "the rest of the story" soon, at least that what the cohorts of DBLUNG and the Bowtech group have promised.

U didn't get a shot in the AM, what's the tactic between 10am and 3pm?

Like so many things in life it a mater of finding the right balance. Yes you want you kids to enjoy the experience. If they are very young, having them sit quiet all day may turn them off to hunting because it is too boring. I think it depends on the age of the child. The older they are, the more patience they will have, and hopefully the more disipline they will have to doing whatever it takes to make the harvest. So I guess it just depends on the situation, but make sure they enjoy the experience. I know you will, nothing better than hunting with your kids. -
Congrats to you and your dad. Very lucky to be able to share such a hunt with him. Good job!

One final thought Sherlock, it seems you have become obessed about me. I have viewed this thread to be about a bad situation that seems to happening more often than should within our hunting community. This is not about me and should not be about you unless you were involved in some way. Your efforts to divert the attention away form the issue is childish really. After you have made me go back through the monstermuleys info, it seems Craig called you out in the beginning, on being off base and spewing misinformation. I guess that is your routine. At this point, as I said before, I am happy to wait and see the rest of the story provided by your cohorts. Please have them provide us with the rest of the story instead of your nonsense.

Richardoutwest, or should I call you a very inept Sherlock Holmes. My first post was Sept. 14 at 7:06 a.m. However Tjwking made a post on monstermuleys at 9:08 p.m. on Sept 13 where he explained the situation and I put 2 and 2 together, figured since he was asking about certain information on this site, and it was posted by the same person who set forth the facts on monstermuleys, that it was the same incident, and that is why I made reference to the link without adding any facts. I made a deduction, much better than you have, which turned out to be correct. Did I know it was the same incident, no, but it sure seemed likely based on the same person making the post about the facts and then asking about a person and truck on this site. Really did not seem like a very difficult determinatiobn to make. So there you have it Sherlock, I thought they were related, and guess what I was right, you aren't.
