  4. Huntjunkie was so proactive in establishing this thread and allowing us to post updates and pictures regarding Unit 10. I hope the rifle hunters are able to add to it and keep it going. In the meantime, we have the video of the bull in posts #24, #26 and #37. We hope you enjoy our father's hunt as much as we did...follow the link on YouTube. Enjoy!
  5. Awesome bull and glad you were successful! Appreciate you starting the post and allowing us to participate.

Great 4A bull! Don't get much better than him in that unit. Congrats!

First 4A elk hunt and 2nd elk

Great job getting it done in 4A. I love this unit and have killed archery bulls in this unit with 2 of 3 scoring over 300 inches. The best part is there is no one wanting to fight you because you took "their" bull (...that's right archers in Unit 9 and 10, you know how the guides and their coyotes can get in that unit). We were happy to get out alive and without an altercation this year.

    400" 4B Bull Down

Nice bull and Chevlon Canyon will produce great bulls especially in late rifle hunt as those bulls are laying low trying to recover from the rut. You have to be a little crazy to get in after them but I have seen several guys do it and live to tell about it. Congrats!
  11. Stay after it HuntJunkie. We are looking forward to the pictures and the story.
  12. I thought I would add a few more pictures of the bull for those of you who have been viewing this post. We are still on cloud nine with this bull. For those of you who have been wondering, this was a self-guided bull in Unit 10. Thanks to a lot of great people we used all their information and put in the hard work to secure this beautiful animal.

John, You are the man! Just think you were actually dead 2 months ago. Life is grand!! Enjoy every minute of it. Long live the Bowtech Posse!
  19. Redman, Thanks for the comments. This is Ronnie and Mike B. and John M..... the crew from from San Manuel.
  20. firstcoueswas80, After taking this bull we drove to our place in Heber this afternoon for a few days of relaxation. We are here now and I have been watching a 4b bull from my deck for the past 3 weeks. He is 300 inches and is the bull in my profile picture that if you look closely you can see on the horizon. He is no further than 1/2 mile of 260 and has not moved for several weeks. He has his cows and doesn't seem to anxious to leave this area.
  21. Here is another one, I hope you enjoy it.
  22. Well, after several days of hunting hard we got him. This is my 65 year old father's first archery bull. Congratulations to Dad and his hunter partners, my brother Michael and best friend John....aka the Bowtech Posse.
  23. Thanks for the quick reply. Good to know my buddies are not alone in their frustration. We had this tag last year and were into plenty of bulls even though there were hunters under every rock. Things seem a bit off and hopefully when I get there on Wednesday things will be better.
  24. Any pictures from Unit 10 archery hunt? I am waiting to see the 375+ bulls. I got a report this afternoon from my hunters and they are struggling. They are hunting hard and hiking 2-3 miles in the dark each morning before they start glassing. There appears to be higher than normal hunting pressure off Pica Camp powerline road. Some small bulls but nothing to shoot 3 days into the hunt. Any other updates from Unit 10?
