6TH ANNUAL CWT.com MARSHALL LAKE GET-TOGETHER
Huntr Pat replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
Would love to be there. I thought Archery deer is over the counter. Javelina is due in August. -
New to couse deer hunting and wanna hunt with a bow But rather make my my time and success higher. May consider 31,32,33. Not sure where to start.Do I just pick an area. I'm sure each area has certain amount of tags they issue. I'm retired Military doe huachuca allow military only. I am Highly confident in my archery skills but if this grey ghost is a skillful and hard to get closer then 60 yards. Not sure if the woods are as thick or open country. Any tips or ideas. willing to take a trek with others wanting to plan a hunt. I have all my gear and ready to go just need to plan.

I had a really nice pair of 10X56 zeis binos on the center console of my chevy. I was a redding at the largest 3D shoot in California. I went to check in came back it was stolen. people leave bow hanging all around with expensive equipment on those bows and they go in my truck. I never been back to the 3d shoot since.

you could have never have said it better. The adult or individual guiding that person should be aware of the energy of that bow & Arrow setup. Although 30 lbs is pushing it for big body thick skinned animals.

How do you cook your Javelina meat?

Thanks for sharing.

Great spine shot.

Thank you for all your replies. Any game start with good field care. Getting the meat dressed out and cooled down. I carry a 5 gal jug of water when Ever I hunt. I always wash the insides after dressing out my game. Especially after dragging it some distance. I have heard two side of the storys. I wanted know where are the glands. I here they have a gland in the rear of its back. Anywhere else?

I may be a 35A hunter next year. I'll be hunting on Fort Huachuca. Never here anything about Javelinas in 35A.

Just went there its a really nice tool. It can also tell you species resides in that general location.

Good luck on your hunt be safe let us know how your successful you were. Tell us what you feel you could have done better to make your trip more succesful.

You can also go to the BLM web site and get topo maps for the area you want to hunt really cheap. sure it paper but the batteries to die. I still use a gps but having a paper map is some thing you can study in camp than install the number on your gps and go to your location.
