A Wee Little Change in Our Country
Rembrant replied to Rembrant's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
As soon as Obama gets done stimulating the economy into submission, freeing healthcare to the point of killing free enterprise and giving citizenship to any and all illegals, and then totally alienating Israel, he will be quick to extend term limits for the presidency just like is reading buddy Hugo Chavez did. Mike -
Thanks for asking for prayer. You're looking in the right direction. Marraige is a partnership - 3 way; the man and the woman are the junior partners - God is the senior partner. If the marraige is getting rough, one or both of the junior partners is sitting in the CEO's chair and calling the shots. This ain't how it works. You both must be subserviant to the Senior Partner - GOD Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. We have your back, buddy. Thank Him in advance and do what you need to do. Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength

Gee, I wonder what the guys on this forum would think about Obama's push to eliminate the "don't ask, don't tell" policy of the armed forces. Any vets out there? What say you? Mike

Obama has been pushing to allow gays to openly serve in the military. Recently Defense secretary Robert Gates has said that he supports the idea and that we need to figure out how to get it done. The military is totally against it. As the LAW stands, gays are not allowed to serve in the military. Pres. Clinton came up with the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. Which means if you are gay, just keep your mouth shut and you are OK to serve. This is absolutly wrong. Kinda like it's OK to drive drunk as long as you don't get caught. We should either uphold the law or repeal it; now some folks want to repeal it. Heard a story told yesterday by a retired military chaplin. He said a marine was exiting a shower and was slapped on the behind by another naked marine (gay). after being slapped on the butt, the first marine decked the homo rendering him unconcious. He then immediately reported the incident to a superior officer to face assault charges and to his surprise found that the homo was to be charged with the assault. Perfect. But how 'bout in the future when the officer will be a homo? If you think that my drunk driving analogy is a bit over the top, consider that the male homosexual lifestyle is a most dangerous lifestyle - right up there with interveaneous drug users. Marines, soldiers, chaplains, and medical people must hold and carry wounded and bleeding men in their arms to do their jobs. How will this work when homosexuality is prevelant in our armed forces? Will you sign up? Will you encourage your sons to sign up? Will medical people and Chaplains sign up? I'm telling you, Obama is catagorically, step by step - PURPOSELY, working to dismantle this great nation. Mike

Dang Lark, we might as well be having a pm conversation. Silly me, I thought someone would do a little cyber research - which can take a whole 2 minutes (4 if you want to verify), and come up with the answer to your challenge. Guess it's hard to get people off their mind set - in this case, antlers, calls, and trail cams - and look around at a political landscape that could take all those good things away. People see only what they want to see. We're all guilty of it, but we're living in tricky times; lots and lots of lies going around out there, and we really need to pull our heads out of our comfortable caccoons and see whos taking shots at us. The ramifications today are staggering. I don't have a lot of computer time in a day, so I like to spend it here, with the hunters. I've always been dissapointed that we hunters aren't better informed politically. Real slow in this politics area. Seems that we, the ones with some back country common sense, ought to be weighing in more on this stuff. Guess thats why we are now an Obamanation. I'm hoping a whole lotta good folks will start opening their eyes. The man's name is James Hansen. Thanks for the challenge Lark. Mike

I'll keep digging, time permitting. Hopefully somebody else will beat me to it. I read that Revelle recanted his global warming efforts before he died, calling global warming a farce. Mike

Dang Lark, for a back country hill-jack, you've really done some homework. Man's nature is fallen - that's what the Bible says. Should we really be surprised that anyone would want to pull the wool over our eyes? Actually lie about something this important? This country is great because we have always claimed to be "one nation under God" (so far anyway). We have blessed God and God has blessed us. Communists on the other hand are athiestic, and communist countries don't share the same kind of blessings as the grand old U.S. The global warming farce has been orchestrated by communists - just as you say Lark. If they can't kick our butts outright, then they'll try to fool us. And a whole bunch of us are biting, after all, Koolaid does taste good! Could it be this simple? Just a bunch of jealousy, lies and thirst for power? Yep. Here's a little insight from the Good Book: James 4:1-3 (The Message) Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from? Do you think they just happen? Think again. They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep inside yourselves. You lust for what you don't have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn't yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it. You wouldn't think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? Because you know you'd be asking for what you have no right to. You're spoiled children, each wanting your own way. Lord Monckton is the mans name. He knows all about the commies taking over greanpeace - and thier desire to reach beyond. Mike

Read this qoute from Lark again. Especially about the "MONEY" and "REDISTRIBUTION" and COMMUNIST" parts. And if you think this is overeaction or just BS, then you need to wake up and do a little homework. Mike

I love great Americans - What they stand for, how they sort things out. I love the fact that great Americans know their history and base their ideas on time tested truths - yes truths - this great American experiment, oyr constitution, and the Holy Bible. Thanks azcoues33, Mike

Amen may GOD bless our troops and may our troops bless GOD!

Sounds like the gig is up. That's why Barak was in such a hurry to do everything. Get'er done before they wake up!! And hopfully this country has woke up. Yep, a deep blue liberal state with republicans outnumbered 3 to 1 - electing a republican senator, running not so much as a republican, but more as , for the PEOPLE! Even the Dems are sick and tired of this ram rodder. Historic moment for sure. The beginning of critcal balance restored. I pray that we have stopped that downhill runaway train to socialism/communism. Yep Mike

Ain't nothin' personal at all, nor any kind of effort to elevate the whitetail above the mule deer. It's simply that the beautiful, graceful, highly inteligent Coues Deer lives on the upper mountain reaches where it feeds on lush cliff rose, mohogany, and delicate forbs - making it one tastey little critter; whereas the blocky, flop-eared, smelly mule deer generally lives on the desert floor, where it is literally a 'bottom feeder', or carp. Simple as that! Something that a sheep-hunting purist can never get over the denial of is that the beloved, and highly esteemed bighorn is really nothin more than a Cliff Carp! - able to suck a living off of a rock. Hope this clears things up a bit, and erases any feelings of anamosity. Mike

I'll see Otis Baker in Heaven, so for now - Dean Dunnaway. Mike

Yep. I have an opinion, and that is that this country's problems are spiritual. It's the frog in the pan analogy: If you throw a frog in a pan of boiling hot water, he'll jump out - fast! But, if you put him in a pan of room temp water and turn the burner on low, he won't notice any drastic change, adjust to the minor changes and eventually boil into someone's dinner. Ever notice how most older folks have manners, common sense and gravity? They come from a generation that was closer to the forming of this great country when Judiac/Christian principles were the norm in just about everyones' lives. If anyone tells you that this country was not founded on these spiritual principles, they don't know the history or they are just flat out lying. The separation of church and state is not in the constitution. The First Amendment states, "Congress shall make no law respecting and establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Obviously, the words "separation," "church," or "state" are not found in the First Amendment; furthermore, that phrase appears in no founding document. In a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists in 1802, Jefferson uses the term, "wall of separation" to insure the church of no government encroachment. The original intent of any separation was to keep the government out of the people's faith - not to keep our faith out of the government. Almost to the last man, (the crafters of the constitution) statements are recorded saying, "Without morals and RELIGION, a free nation cannot stand". What religion do you think our fathers were refering to back in the late 1700's? Where are we today? A potporri of various religions coupled with a serious lack of faith and morals in this country. Nobody seemed to notice. I hope and pray that we as a country are not completely boiled yet. I choose to stay outside of the boiling pan we call modern culture. I don't care if I'm viewed as an oddball. I want to be like our founding fathers; I'm a Christian. Mike

To a Godless liberal, animals are more important than people. If there is no God, then we don't have to consider the Bible's statements that the animals are here for man's utilization, or that human beings are God's image bearers and that human life is sacred. Save the whales; kill the baby humans. Oh, old folks can dissapear too, if they're costing us too much money. Mike

The contrast in this country; City thugs and country folks. One of these groups makes this country great. Magnificant hunt story and deer! Zip is a beautiful dog. Mike

May God's power and love be evident in and to all concerned. And to Him be all the credit, honor, and glory. And I thank Him now for all the blessings and healing coming, whether it be what we want or expect, or what we don't want or expect. May we choose to accept what He chooses to give in His perfect will, and in His perfect timing. In the awesome and wonderful, dangerously life-changing name of Jesus. Amen.

If we keep this up, we won't know if were wishing you a happy 2009 or 2010 birthday! Either way - happy b-day Mike Mike

Washington wants to expand wild horse and burro

It's not just that they are cute, they are sacred, living creatures. The life of even one precious animal is more important than any concept of multiple use, conservation, or any other idea that man can come up with, especially when man is only trying to better his own selfish existance. It doesn't matter that these animals have been introduced and ravage the habitat and hurt the native species. Man must stay out of it and let "nature" take its natural course. We must put back the wolves and grizzly bears and then stop hunting - let nature manage it!! Animals are more important than people. Save the whales and kill the baby humans. Mike -
In short, a large number of peer-reviewed climate papers that were based on tree core data from the Yamal Peninsula in Siberia substantiate the global warming theoery. As of late, it has been revealed that out of 252 cores that were sampled, 12 cores were cherry picked because they worked well with the global warming theoery, and the remaining 240 were ignored because they showed no warming trend. Heads should roll. This is the biggest scientific lie since the theoery of evolution. Thr global warming farce is an elaborate attempt to shape all nations into a one world order. Please go to U-Tube and type in "Lord Mockston", and see what this conservative Britt has to say about the United States and the Copenhagen Convention. If I were Al Gore right now, I would look for a very good place to hide. I knowed you was right Lark, I just knowed it! Mike
