Great job! I love how the pic make his head look like a horse. -
I was just wondering if there is any bear in unit 20a? If there are bear do you ever find them in the scrub oak or only in the pines. Thanks, Wesley
-
I realize that 20a may not have very many bears but I live in the unit so it would be the easiest for me to hunt. But I have no idea where to start.

You would have two birds with one stone there. -
With your writing skills you should just write a book and then buy the governours tag. Great story!!!!

Great job! The quality of the animal doesn't matter near as much as the quality of the memories. Still a nice bull for all the trouble your dad had.

Great job! It's always nice to have a bunch of people helping to pack out a big bull.

Sweet and sour 2011 archery elk hunt in unit 1
Younghunter replied to huntlines's topic in Elk Hunting
A couple of years ago we had a similar experience with people stealing our elk. My brother shot a cow elk opening morning after he had tagged and gutted it out he left to go get the quad. When he got back his elk was gone! The most terrible thing about it was it was a juniors only hunt. So we have this picture in our minds of a dad taking his son out to teach him hunting and instead he teaches him how to steal. Anyways those are great bulls. Congrats! -

Are we really gonna start the class warfare buisness. This has nothing to do with how much money someone has. The only guy that we know for sure had a guide was Craig. It was never stated that the Bowtech guy had a guide, it was only stated that he had a group. Guides are not the issue guys, the issue is the true motivation of alot hunters these days. Guides provide a service. Ask any guide and he will tell you the hunter has the last call, if he wants to pull the trigger on a rag horn its the hunters choice. Its also the hunters choice to hold out for a 400" bull. If Bowtech was being guided, he could have stopped the whole thing with one word as soon as he saw that Craig shot and wounded the bull. Money, guides blah blah blah... it has zero to do with it. If hunters weren't willing to pay trophy fees it would be a non-issue! Guides provide a service plain and simple. Its their job to give you what you want. I guess when you have more money your ethics somehow disolve??? Retarded! Whoa must have hit close to home with you!!! I never even mentioned anything about guides. And yes ethics do go down when more money is involved. Ever heard the saying," Money is the root of all evil"? It wasnt me who made that saying. And also this is a website to tell stories, express opinions, and show pics. Sorry if you dont agree with me, but then again you dont have to and i could care less if you do or dont. I just thought I would point out that money is not the root of all evil, "The love of money is the root of all evil.
