  2. This article in the Chicago Tribune, said they could have faced a year in jail, and a $10,000 fine... http://touch.chicagotribune.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-71923336/ I wonder if some of the people who were affected by this fire would have showed up to the sentencing, maybe the sentence would have been harder? Maybe the judge figured no one cared...

  4. Interesting that none of the people who wanted restitution showed up to testify in court "Prosecutors had reached out to nearly 60 people who could be entitled to restitution in the case, but none of them testified in court Wednesday on the extent of their losses. "

So, alI I had to do was post a few links with FACTS and SOURCES, and now I am the problem? And I am not a happy Camper? This is typical G&F, when someone presents the facts, that person is all of a sudden the problem... How dare I question the allmighty and all knowing G&F...

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says only 2 confirmed cases in Texas, both were Mule deer. And these came from a region in Texas where baiting is not prevelant... http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/newsmedia/releases/?req=20120710a

    Thoughts on Baiting

Ok, I did a bit of keyboard investigation, and this is what I found on CWD being spread thru water sources. Basically many sources say there is strong evidence that suggests that CWD can be transmitted thru water sources. So this being said, shouldn't the department put a immediate halt to all wildlife water catchments, and begin draining all of the existing ones. If the department is so concerned with CWD, this is a major issue. Water is a much larger draw or attractant than any corn or grain feeder... The Center For Disease Control says: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvrd/cwd/ Transmission "CWD can be highly transmissible within deer and elk populations. The mode of transmission is not fully understood, but evidence supports the possibility that the disease is spread through direct animal-to-animal contact or as a result of indirect exposure to prions in the environment (e.g., in contaminated feed and water sources). Several epidemiologic studies provide evidence that, to date, CWD has not been transmitted to humans" The Maine Fish and Wildlife department says: http://www.maine.gov/ifw/wildlife/disease/cwd.htm#howdodeerandelkgetcwd "Therefore, CWD is likely transmitted by direct contact with infected individuals, or by contact with contaminated soil, leaves, bedding, feed, or water. " The California department of Fish and Game says: http://www.dfg.ca.gov/wildlife/WIL/disease/cwd/index.html " Evidence suggests infected deer and elk transmit the disease agent laterally through animal-to-animal contact and/or contamination of feed or water sources with saliva, urine, and/or feces. CWD seems more likely to occur in areas where deer or elk are crowded or where they congregate at man-made feed and water stations."

    We new this was coming

Oh yes, I know... It was commissioner Normam Freeman who wanted the lion hunter who treed the last jaguar in the Whetstones, charged with "illegal take of a endangered species". This is typical G&F mentality, the hunter is always guilty of something... Freeman needs to go away! Any lion hunter or other hunter who comes forward with Jaguar information is setting themselves up for being investigated. Basically Freeman was so pissed off that the Hunter who treed the Jaguar did not want to release the photos, because he was considering writting a story or book about it, that Freeman wanted him Charged. Then to top it off there were many inter-department email at the G&F about how to word their press release, so that they wouldnt ruin a case against the hunter, if the USFW decided to pursue charges. So much for looking out for hunters! Some at the department are our worst enemy! Here is the link to the email chain... http://www.azgfd.gov/w_c/jaguar/documents/Web%20Release%20jag%20reports%202012.02.24.pdf It is a very long email chain, but very interesting...
