Dirty tactics once again from the AZGFD! Now you'll know why to never trust them

This has been a great learning experience for my son. After graduating hunters education class, he thought that G&F officers were the good guys and thought they walked on water. Well after I explained to him what happened in this case, and had him read the 14 page court document, he has a new perspective. He now realizes that just because you have a badge, it doesn't mean you are on the up and up. He has been taught to respect authority, but now realizes their are bad apples in every profession. I told him the only thing you should ever tell a G&F officer is, " here is my license and tag, any other questions, please call my attorney." -

This reminds me of a hunt in unit 33 years ago. One of our clients shot a nice buck from about 300 yds. The buck immediately dropped to the ground and began to flail around on the ground. While the client and guide got their stuff together and prepared to go retrieve their buck, two other hunters who had not been seen, walked up to the buck on the ground and finished it off with a shot to the chest. What happened next was mind blowing. They they got out their tag and put it on our clients buck. Well when our client and guide arrived at the buck a argument began, so Game and Fish was called to resolve the problem. The officer who arrived told our client, tough luck, although it was not sportsman like to do what they did, it was totally legal. He said that even though the buck was down and not getting back up, the other hunters actually finished it off and killed it, so it was their buck to tag. This kind of goes against what G&F is now claiming in this incident. Seems like double standards are routinely enforced or not enforced with this department. -

Shawn, So you got off on a technicality... So take that $100,000 you took from the hunters and citizens of Arizona, and donate it to a wildlife organization! Nobody feels sorry for any G&F employee who breaks that law and gets off. Do the right thing and give our money back! OJ Simpsom convinced a jury he was not guilty too. -

That's exactly what we need!!! WRONG!!! Why would you want the media dealing with this? Yes it is corrupt, but they are going to go after like the media always does, from an anti hunter perspective, it's just more ammo for them. So lets coverup the coverup?? That makes no sense! -

And they wonder why Hunters have lost respect for them... I know there are still a few good ones... but the list is getting smaller and smaller. -
This technology will allow taxidermists to print replica antlers and horns for mounts in the future. This technology is unlimited...

Kidso, your hard work and passion for bears is to be desired! -
At the last Tucson gun buyback there were a bunch of people who set up tables offering twice the amount as the PD was giving out... I think they bought 47 guns.

There are some great books on Jaguars if any of you are interested. Jaguar Hunting in the Moto Grosso and Bolivia, Tony de Almedia ( my favorite book so far) Tigrero, Sasha Siemel (very rare book, but awesome stories of Sasha killing 100+ jags with a spear) Borderland Jaguars, David Lopez, Carlos Gonzalez (lists all jaguars taken in AZ) Jaguar, Alan Rabinowitz (Allen helped create the first Jaguar preserve in South America) Ambushed on the Jaguar Trail, Jack Childs (Jack Chronicles his tracking of Macho B with trail cams) Eyes of Fire, Warner Glenn, (Warners encounter with a Jaguar near Douglas)

Kidso, No daytime photos yet... Stanley, I will look to see what other pics I have to compare size, but I believe he is very close in size to a male mtn lion. The cats that live in the swamps of south America can get up in the 200 pound range, but these jags that live in the far north part of the range are much closer to mountain lions.

Facts? Like the fact that CWD is not a problem here in AZ, even though G&F passed it off as a fact to ban baiting? -

This was all over the news down here in Tucson a few days ago... Another black eye for G&F, and hunters. It's that, were above you attitude that makes this even more insulting to hunters. -
G&F will probably say I was baiting... but oh well here it goes...

The Cats were already in the top 25... if you would have paid your cable bill, you would have seen that the game was touted as a top 25 matchup. #18 vs #25... Although the cats made the top 25, they did not play like it. 3 Errors in the first 3 innings gave the Devils 5 unearned runs. They are still tied in the conference for 4th place.

Shore fishing in Rocky Point for the first time....need help!
AZLance replied to More D's topic in Fishing
+1 on the frozen squid, you can buy it at the fish market downtown cheap. But when you catch you fish, put them in a cooler with ice. If you lay them in the shallow water on a stringer, they will be infested with sand fleas. Also any shiny lure like a cast master will work for rock bass and trigger fish.
