I recently purchased a new side by side! The only issue i have found with owning a side by side, is I don't know how to carry my bow while hunting. I currently keep it in my bow case and put it in the rear seat, or in the rear cargo area. The problem is i would like a faster way to access my bow and take up less room in the back seats. I don't like putting my bow in the standard gun racks you would find on a quad, because they always seem to rattle things loose on my bow. So my question is how do you guys carry your bows in your side by sides? If you have pictures of your rides and mounting systems i would love to see them! Thanks for the input.

I went to a walmart a few weeks back and also noticed that no guns were behind the counter. I asked the manager where the guns went, and she advised me that they lock up all the guns at night. Apparently the Avondale store and a few others got hit late at night and every gun in the case was taken!

Nice buck! I wish people would allow you to enjoy your trophy! I don't agree with the distance on this kill, but here's a video of a frontal shot where the deer drops almost immediately! I don't have a problem with frontal shots, as long as you stay with in your skill set!

I have spent a lot of time looking on the internet for a good bow mount, and they don't sell anything that interest me so far. Thanks though.

Well my 2013 javelina season started off slow! My buddy Jim and I, hunted all my favorite spots with no luck for 5 days straight. Finally on Sunday, one of my other buddies invited us to join him in a area they had seen pigs the day prior. Sunday morning we headed out early and by about 8:00 we had pigs glassed up, and we were starting our stalk! Jim and I headed towards the pigs, while my dad guided us into them with radio's. An hour later we found our self's with in archery range, but one of the pigs had spotted us! We held still for about 20 minutes or so, before the pig lost interest and began to walk away. We moved further into the heard of pigs when i spotted one at 30 yards. It must have winded us, because he began to woof real loud and started moving down hill from us. As the pig moved down hill, she made the mistake of stopping for a second just below us, giving Jim a shot! I ranged him at 21 yards, and Jim let a gravedigger fly! The pig was hit hard and only ran 15 yards before crashing. Now it was my turn! I took 2 steps to my left, when i heard some pigs moving above us. I stopped and waited for a few minutes, when 2 pigs started making there way down hill towards us. I ranged the bushes where i heard the pigs coming from at 25 yards, and waited for a shot. Finally 2 pigs walked out of the bushes and presented me a clear shot. I drew back and Let a 100 grain swhacker fly, a perfect double lung shot! The pig ran 8 yards and crashed, leaving a massive blood trail! All in all, it was a fun hunt spending time with my Dad and buddies. Seen lots of big bucks but just couldn't close the deal on one! I was very impressed with the swhacker, I think it's going to be my new broadhead of choice. Jim's Gravedigger was pretty awesome also! Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone in the new year! (The 4th and 5th pictures are of my pig's entry and exit hole, with the swhacker. The 6th picture is the exit hole of Jim's pig with the gravedigger.)

That would be around "who cares and 3/8ths" . Character score is off the charts on that bad boy. Big ups Joshy!! I was just curious what a bull of that character would score, not something you see every day.

What did it score?

Congratulations

So if i got drawn for archery pig, i can buy a rifle tag in the same unit? That's pretty awesome.

You can buy a extra tag in the same unit?

I have the four seater teryx and love it! It has power steering, and it's fuel injected. I looked at the polaris rzr also, but it is more of a dunes toy then a hunting vehicle. The back seats in the rzr are really small and aren't very comfortable for a adult. The 4 seater rzr goes for right around $20k! I got my treyx out the door for $14,600 which was about $2k less then what everyone else was selling them for. Go talk to the guy at jetski unlimited he has the lowest prices on teryx's in the state.

I tried to send you a PM but it wouldn't send for some reason. Would you be interested in selling just the bullets? If so how much, and where are you located at? You can PM me with that information thx. -
They do pretty good, but they still don't quite match up to the AR's. Not a bad gun though.

He's probably a PETA activist! That would explain the cartoon profile picture, instead of a animal he has harvested.

After reading several of your post on previous threads, it seems as though you are out to pick some fights on this forum? If you don't like it, you don't have to be apart of it. I don't agree with everything that everyone does on here either, but there's no reason to pick fights over it. If you like the site awesome, enjoy it with the rest of us. If not find another forum.

I have called in quite a few muley's while varmint calling. They all came within archery range.

I have had 2 elk butchered by Rhonda's butcher shop, and have been very pleased with there work. Very nice people there, and they will deliver to almost anywhere, in the state for $35. I will continue doing business with them in the future. Good luck on your hunt.

Frustrated Archery Elk Hunter Any advice, words of wisdom
AZHUNTER05 replied to RoughCut's topic in Elk Hunting
I happened to come across a hunter in the field this archery season who had shot a bull.. He had been following the blood trail for probably 3/4 of a mile and lost the blood trail. I helped him out and i was able to locate the blood trail he lost. We followed a good blood trail for probably half a mile and then nothing! I helped him search for hours and we never found it. He continued to look for it after i left and still never located anymore blood. Unfortunately it was his first ever archery animal and he lost it. After talking to him i think he bumped it. He told me he only waited about 10 minutes after the shot to look for it. I shot my bull the next day right through the heart. Luckily it died with in eye sight so i didn't have to track it. I followed the path that my bull took after i shot it and there was absolutely no blood on the ground! I got a complete pass through with a 2 blade rage. I figured there would be blood everywhere but there wasn't. I haven't lost a animal yet fortunately but i have felt the stress of not finding one and it was horrible! Sorry to hear you didn't recover yours.
